I feel terrible as a lesbian that I didn't even realise there was bi slang, as I've only ever heard bi women using lesbian slang! I've noticed the divide in bi women and men is really noticeable in the ways they are not taken seriously. The majority of guys I'm friends with who identify as 'straight' have confessed to me secretly that they are bi and have had guy on guy experiences, but dont feel confident enough to ever date a guy or be publically bi, and scared people will instantly assume their gay, or that women won't date them thinking their gay, which is super sad to me, and as a result so many bi women are also not taken seriously because people seem to assume a lot of them are either lesbians, or straight girls going through a phase, because more bi girls are out of the closet than guys. I've also met lesbians who won't date bi girls because they've had bad experiences with girls saying their bi to have one gay experience in college, leading them on and then carrying on saying their straight afterwards, when in reality most bi girls are absolute babes and we love you! 💞
This is so true and so sad! I even had a friend tell me that she has nothing against bisexuals, but that she would never date a bi guy, because he could be attracted to anyone... Or another one saying that being gay is fine, but bi isn't because it's just weird to be on both sides. Or someone joking that only girls are bi, and just because they're curious or afraid to come out. It's really frustrating and sad, and feels like a lost battle sometimes. Wow this feels so much more freeing and comfortable than the lesbian slang!! ❤❤❤ it sucks to be surrounded by even other queer people who shame u for liking men and use “gay” as an overarching term. You begin to forget who you are if you’re not careful
I told a few kids at school that I’m bi (because I am) and one of them said “why?” Im pissed off at her now. I should have responded to her with “same reason you’re straight”, so next time I see her (Tuesday) I’m gonna give her a piece of my mind.
Get some bi guys on an episode, we need the representation. Also, just some friendly input: some people consider "switch hitter" to be a slur. Especially for bi guys.
Katie kat I use bicycle with my friends, differently. We use it to identify our friends’ sexuality when they are not out (bi-cycle). We have other words for other sexualities, like pan-cake for pansexuality.
Gatekeeping - not only used for the bi community, but very relevant. It's when the LGBT community sort of polices itself and pushes out people it doesn't feel are "gay enough". This can apply to people like transfolk or the ace spectrum, but it's very common for the bi crowd as well. It's another reason we feel like we have to try extra hard to sort of "prove" our queerness is valid, like one of your friends mentioned when she was referring to her relationships. Which helps explain why erasure hits so hard - it excludes us from what should be own community.
I've never seen transfolk pushed out, "bi" people are pushed out because they champion heteronormative bullshit, especially the women. You can't go for a drink with a bi female friend without hearing "So men men men men men men men men". Try mentioning that your server is a cute woman and she'll ignore it, or get uncomfy. Hetero bs always wins with bi women.
@@nicolesmrekar2046 I'm sorry that you've had that experience, but I politely disagree. I know many bisexual women, myself included, who are more attracted to women than men. Please don't treat bisexuals as if they somehow aren't part of the LGBTQ community. That's what the B is there for 🤷 and the heterosexual community isn't particularly welcoming either, so just know that when you (or any LGBTQ person) decide someone isn't "gay enough" to be a valid part of your community, you're kicking them out to be completely alienated. I think everyone should just be accepting and stop judging others for their romantic and sexual preferences. Every single person's sexuality is just as valid as yours.

I'll add bi-fi to the list (like gay radar but for bi people) and AC/DC (alternating current/direct current) which in the past was used to describe bisexual people. And then of course there are terms like butch, femme etc. which are shared with the lesbian community
Most people think bisexuals are fully equally attracted to both sexes, but "bi" means two, not equal. Thus, a bisexual person can be attracted more to one sex versus the other. Check out the Kinsey Scale to better understand what I'm getting at.

Hi I'm hella bi and I literally had no fucking clue that we had our own secret slang but ig now I know lmao. Now I can finally go fourth and speak the language of my people.
i’ve seen a lot of comments on how hard it is for bisexual men, it just hit me that that’s why my brother wont come out. me and my friend (both bisexual females) know that he was bi when he came out whilst the three of us were watching eurovision. i actually feel extremely bad that my brother cannot express his sexuality like i can.
Im bi and i want you to know that just means im equally atracted to both. I had long time relashionships with with man and women. Im loyal to the person im with. .
I didn't get the straight girl candy one. Does it mean: 1. straight girl candy is a woman who makes a straight girl ''bi''', or 2. eye-candy for bi girls? Or...none of those, idk lmao hlep
When I came out to my mom, (after the hard parts of course) she couldn't stop laughing because she named me... Kinsey. She literally got my name after she watched the movie about Alfred Kinsey.
im a bi girl and I have never heard of these things.... also, can't a bi person use the word "gay" to describe themselves? coz I kinda use it a lot when I talk to my friends about...well, gay stuff.
isn't bi erasure also that when a bi person is in a relationship people just assume that the relationship represents their sexuality and that even though you are obv. still bi even if you are with someone they just think the bi person has chosen a side and is now completely gay or straight ?
“Hetero” means “all but your own” so if you’re heterosexual, you can be attracted to the opposite gender as well as non$binary genders, just not your own gender. So, if you’re heterosexual, you’re bisexual. New bi slang, “hetero”.
Hi i'm a bisexual man and also a youtuber and from my friends like callum mcswiggian and roly ungusha ive never heard any bisexual slang that they've know (their alot more clued up then me) maybe i lack in a education when it comes to these things i dont know if anyone else is the same it maybe because i dont quite fit the mould expected of me as a bi man
That's so funny how she say bi people are a after thought of the lgbt, when as a bi trans girl I feel like an after thought, i mean I've seen a few of your videos but trans people haven't gotten mentioned in any of the lgb, wwhen t also makes up those 3 as well at the same time, i don't even know what t meant in lgbt for years even though I aware of the lgb and even q. Sooo itd be dope if you made more content with us included.
Unicorn in polyamory bisexuality is rare but does exist. They are not praised for their lifestyle since it is so different, so they usually hide it from the public. It's everywhere but hush hush because of all the judgment and disaprovment. There is intimacy, & closeness involved in the love triangle. Lesbians tend to think unicorns don't exist because it is not attractive to them. There are all sorts of love and kinds of people. Some bisexuals want lifelong commitment to a woman and a man in the same relationship.
hey... sorry I'm super late but I don't understand at all what you're saying about the straight candy girl I don't understand what it is... I'm not natural english speaker I can't get it and I don't find anything on the internet (is that real slang people say ??) if someone could just write what the lady explain it would be great for me :'( it's super frustrating great vid by the way :)
In fact, I just noticed that the women in the video do refer, at the very end, to the idea of bisexuality in males, though only to state that they have never heard of the existence of bisexual men - they've never met any, don't know even one, aren't aware of any bisexual males in the world as they know it, and so on. I was sort of wondering if they were on the brink of announcing that gay men also don't exist (as they've never encountered one). Hmmmmmm. I am sure they are "very special guests" and they're funny and articulate, but as they do obviously have some degree of contact with men in real life, it's very striking that on the basis of their experience they seem to have come to the conclusion that All Men Are Heterosexual.

I didn't get the straight girl candy one. Does it mean: 1. straight girl candy is a woman who makes a straight girl ''bi''', or 2. eye-candy for bi girls? Or...none of those, idk lmao hlep
#1!! ;)
I would’ve loved to have seen women and men of all ages and races to open up the umbrella that is bisexuality. This was cute though.
You girls remind me so much of the channel "the vegan view" :-) You eight girls are awesome!!
Wow,I'm definitely 80/20
When I came out to my mom, (after the hard parts of course) she couldn't stop laughing because she named me... Kinsey. She literally got my name after she watched the movie about Alfred Kinsey.
That dress is so cute. Where do I aquire said dress?🤔
how do you have so many lgbt friends?
I’m bi and honestly I don’t think we have slang
I'm Bi and we are rarely seen as part of the LGBT community
I would have to say a Unicorn is more of a polyamroy term then a bi term :P
I love that the girl in the end is just like.. not rlly talking lmao
I hated how they said "a bi person" referring to generally female people.
im a bi girl and I have never heard of these things.... also, can't a bi person use the word "gay" to describe themselves? coz I kinda use it a lot when I talk to my friends about...well, gay stuff.
petition to add a bisexual flag emoji on 23rd of September
Where are the bi men? Is there going to be a different video for their slang? This isn't a dig btw I'm just wondering x
isn't bi erasure also that when a bi person is in a relationship people just assume that the relationship represents their sexuality and that even though you are obv. still bi even if you are with someone they just think the bi person has chosen a side and is now completely gay or straight ?
“Hetero” means “all but your own” so if you’re heterosexual, you can be attracted to the opposite gender as well as non$binary genders, just not your own gender. So, if you’re heterosexual, you’re bisexual. New bi slang, “hetero”.
That beginning was everything!! xD
Switch hitter sounds so cool. Imma fuckin switchitter'!
Unicorn is not for only bi girls who dont have emotions with the couple. They can date the couple and have true feelings for them
what is the melody in the background please ? I know a french (francophone) channel bi/lesbian talk and it's the same melody :O
hey... sorry I'm super late but I don't understand at all what you're saying about the straight candy girl I don't understand what it is... I'm not natural english speaker I can't get it and I don't find anything on the internet (is that real slang people say ??) if someone could just write what the lady explain it would be great for me :'( it's super frustrating
great vid by the way :)
yall ever heard of stag/tomcat/doe ??
would be cool if you had BI men and Poc here
I’m a bi male ^-^
Love the video!

This makes me so HAPPY!
How did they forget bifi and bi-cycle??
What about catflap?
5:20 LMAOSIADH satisfying meal
I didn’t know any of these. I guess I’m not good at being bi. But I knew all the lesbian ones 🤔
Amanda reminds me of Demi Lovato
yes, her mannerism reminds me of Demi too
at times i actually think i’m in fact listening to Demi
Well as a Bi you need to know the straight slag AND the Lesbian/Gay slang.
I don't even know that I knew these. I'm a better bi than I thought.
Omg. This girl with Black t-shirt And long hair is sooo beautiful
