Tom, you’re videos are very entertaining. I don’t think you should worry about repetitive content. We listen to the same songs over and over, we play the same games over and over, we watch the sun rise and set over and over, eat the same foods over and over, yet we enjoy these things. It is a pleasure watching and hearing you talk about your passion/hobby. God bless.
hey T i hear that the tank alone takes time , hope you do ! i dont think you realize how much we learn and enjoy your content ! or maybe you do. thx for everything you have done . i still go back on your vids when i have issues . hey like the late ned stark said WINTER IS COMMING !!!! thx i will keep checking in..
Hi Brandon! That sound like a great video! I’ll put that on the list. I believe what makes my tanks somewhat special is just what you’re asking about. Coral placement and the way things grow is so important to aesthetically pleasing and healthy looking reef tank 👍🏻
@@TOMReefer well I appreciate that you educate about it for hobbyist like myself. Keep it up! And I would love to see how you have your refugium connected to your tank(s). I want to do one like that but I'm scared of the plumbing and screwing it up.
Wow, you have many species in that cake lid, bristle worms, flatworms, copepods. Something else...like shrimps. Mine are small white flakes. I would get a magnifier glass, I am looking for a nice high powered one, with a boom arm. Not sure where I would put it though and they can get very expensive.
Thanks, Tom! I like your videos keep it up. You inspire all of reefers. Especially those coming into new beginnings, like this problem which I just had!
1:37 hmm did you do them like 3 time 1 week apart? I use flatworm exit and work for me. But took several treatment to get rid of them because the treatment can't kill the eggs. So, you do it again in 1 week for the new baby before they laid eggs. To get rid of the baby that hatch from the eggs. Also, I run a protein skimmer and fresh carbon after each treatment.
So I have a salt tank w live rocks, I used to get these flatworms on my pump. I set up a 29 gallon freshwater tank 4 inches from the 45, the flatworms jumped the tanks and ended up in my 29. My one angelfish has been staring at these white spots for the last 3 days. They also eat them my fish.
My hammers started retracting and lost some of their color. I thought maybe my Frogspawn was stinging it. I took the hammer out, dipped it, didn't see any flat worms. I've placed it in my other tank to see how it does there. I really needed the info from this video. Thank you!
Hi Jani! It sounds like you have a balance issue. I could do a video on ways you can balance kh and ph? I’ve never dosed Sodium hydroxide. You might try a 2 part dosing system like C Balance.
Ive been dealing with these. I have a harlequin shrimp so I can't risk using chemicals. However, Im very aggressuve at suctioning them out when I see one. I also have a six line wrasse so I think he keeps the population down too. I don't find them like I used too
How about your light? Coralline likes shaded areas. Did you seed the tank with coralline from another tank or piece of live rock with some growing on it? Try those👍🏻
Good to see you back Tom! It’s like seeing an old friend 👍
Thanks Corey! Nice of you to say that! I’m happy to be back😊

It's actually refreshing to see that even experienced hobbyist deal with pest. I appreciate the video and look forward to more!
😃 thanks Kris! Most experienced reef keepers do experience pests. They just don’t like to talk about it.

No I didn’t run it 3 times. What you say makes sense. 👍🏻 thanks for the information!
Hi Tom. This is crazy infection. Nice treatment and Nice one. Appreciate to review a long video. 😊
Hi Jean, yes, flatworms are no fun🫤thanks for watching the full length. You one of my first followers👍🏻😊I appreciate you
@@TOMReefer you are welcome my friend.
Your doin it, your doin it, your doin it right!!! Big fan bro
Hi Billy, thanks! 😃👍🏻
Missed ya dearly! Hopefully things go better, burn outs take time to recover from. I did emdr , helped a lot in recovery.
Thanks Danny, yes, feeling more motivated again 👍🏻😊

Tom love you ve your stuff,
Crazy video idea frag/split a mushroom and time laps the regrowth process
Hi Janco! Thanks! Welllllll, 😁 time laps are crazy time consuming. Especially with slow growth 😴
Great video... I have some spaghetti worms in my tank that I have controlled when stopping overfeeding.... they are still there, but only a few...
Hi Orange, good to hear that. 👍🏻
Happy new year buddy
Happy New Year Shawn! Thanks😊
Awesome. I was under the impression just the pine oil in regular coral dip eradicates flatworm? Nice to see ya again.
Thanks Volitile! This Reef Primer seems to work well! 👍🏻

Thanks, I hope that dip and move works out for you👍🏻
Flat worm exit worked great for me. I did 3 treatments 2 weeks apart. It’s been since 5 months I have not seen a single flatworm.
Glad it worked for you David👍🏻😊
Enjoy the videos. Just wondering what type of lights you use on your tanks ? Thanks
Hi Galen, thanks! 75 gallon is 3 Ai 16HD and 3 Kessil A80’s
Other tanks are Ai Sol 10gal
Ai 16HD over the 20g and refugium 👍🏻😊
Hi! Happy new year!
I had the same experience with flat wormX ... this is tough approach
I hope you'll manage this pest
Hi Ben! Happy New Year. Yes, even after the dip treatment I see a few more. I’ll have to repeat or try siphoning them out.👍🏻
What did you use the 2nd dip
What did you use for dipping coral
Reef Primer
Hi Tom! Could you make video how to dose NaOH reef tank to ingrease kh (helps low ph)?
Hi Jani! It sounds like you have a balance issue. I could do a video on ways you can balance kh and ph? I’ve never dosed Sodium hydroxide. You might try a 2 part dosing system like C Balance.

I was thinking about a getting a 6 line wrasse, but not sure yet. 👍🏻
@@TOMReefer they can be aggressive. I am fortunate to have a mellow one.
I would of done 2 small containers and dipped twice just to make sure they all were off but👍🏽
Great idea Duke! 👍🏻I’ll probably have to dip it again, as I see a few left 🫤
Tom been with you since Jan 2020 when you got me back in to salt .last time was in 1992 ish but no coral then.johnny5 GUYS SMASH THE LIKES
😃I know you go way back Johnny. I’ve been happy to help you get back into it 👍🏻
Fresh water Dip-Please do a step by step on how to, for removing flukes.
Hi bob, I’ll put it on the list 😊
My 6 line isn’t eating them. do they start to ignore pests after awhile?
Hi H20, I’ve heard wrasses can be hit or mis. Some say they eat them but not fast enough. 😕
Could we get tank tours I’m new here
Hi Craig, sure, I have lots of new viewers who would most likely enjoy seeing those👍🏻I’ll put them on my list😊
I just like looking at your tanks, don’t always need new content.
Thanks Joan! 👍🏻
WB Tom!
Thanks Mark! 😊
TOMAHAWK. Miss u man. Hey coralline algea . I can’t get it to grow I don’t know what I am missing ?.. alk 9 salt 1024 mag 1400 ph 8 .i don’t get it
