Thanks. It worked l perfect on Pentax K-x. There are some small differences but i just followed the general approach and it worked. You saved me from buying a new DSLR body. I was so mad with this dust in the view finder.
If you consider replacing the whole camera just because some dust particles in the finder, you may also consider to see mental therapist

EOS5D2は、特にファインダーにゴミが入り易いようですね？安く買った中古の5D2に何万円もかけて、キャノンのメンテに出す意味もなく。フォーカシングスクリーンを掃除しようとして外したら、純正交換用ハサミの保持が弱く、スクリーンが床に落下、もうやけくそで、スクリーン交換覚悟で、指で水洗いしたところ、傷も入らず、洗浄に成功。ただ、スクリーンなしでも、ゴミが残っているので困っていましたが、なるほど、さらに、もう一枚上にピント表示板があるのですね？近々、落ち着いた時に、トライしてみます。大変、参考になりました。ありがとうございました。

There are 2 focusing screens in the 50d. I am aware and have already changed out the one lower focusing screen but I am unsure what the official name is of the screen with the focus points on it that is closest to the viewfinder. By chance do you know the part name? Thank you
A focusing screen is the middle man between your mirror/lens and the viewfinder. Generally it is made of either plastic or glass and is used to generate an in focus view of a subject.

Nice one dude! I've not got the same sized balls as you, how do you sit down?! I wouldn't puff the Focus Screens over the camera tho, that'll just blow it back in tot he camera!

You dont need to unscrew anything for this, just push that middle clip....
And as the others said, dont just blow away the dust deeper in your camera.

Thank you for this video, it helped me greatly. One commenter is right, we technically don't need to unscrew anything at all to get this cleaned (unless the particles are on the BACK side of the focus POINT screen). I got the frosted focus screen out with tweezers, used an air blower on it and then used a Qtip with isopropyl alcohol to lightly swipe it on both sides. I used the air blower to dry it. Then I used the air blower again on the inside of the camera (gently!) I even used a Qtip on the focus point screen directly (again, very very veryyy gently just enough to budge it so I could air blow it out). All my dust particles are gone gone gone and all is clear! (If anyone tries this, please be careful when using tweezers to remove the screen... It is VERY easy to scratch and if you're like me (accident prone while anxious), it's totally gonna happen 🙃.
Heyy, can you please fix your comment, I used isopropyl and it ate the plastc a bit and now there are translusent white smudges on the screen. I'm not blaming you but just for the others remove the isopropyl part :(
NEVER directly touch your focus screen! And using chemicals on it is even worse: alcohol indeed melts the plastic.
