Having studied these assorted disassembly videos, and taken on board assorted comments: I pulled the remaining stub slightly out, taking care not to sever it, then gripped the more solid stem and pulled a little further. Then using long nosed pliers (grips) I gently pulled it out as it came out quite smoothly - well they are inserted in much the same way after all… Having done this with one, did the other one with the same result. Time taken: 1 minute 40 seconds, start to finish for both covers. I would like to offer thanks to these wonderful people for inspiring me or put another way, there had to be an easier way than this partial dismantling process.
You don't have to open the camera. I bought replacement covers on Ali. First, take out the rest of old rubber from the holes with a pointy tool. Take the new cover, put the rubber "string" into the hole to the point where it get thicker. Take the metal pointy tool but not sharp and just squeeze in the rubber down. All fine and done in 3 minutes.
Same to me.. Need to pull the front right hand rubber first, unscrew the screw behind it and unscrew bottom screw. It's hard to do. I replaced it already by my self. Sorry for bad English. Greeting 🇲🇾
Would be possible to do it without taking the part out? Dig out the old rubber from the holes, and just push in the new ones with a scredriver (not sharp)?

Thank you for this advice. I'll try it out.
If we do that, we would have to push the broken plastic part into the camera and we wouldn't know where it would end up

You have to remove the parts in order to put in a new set of dust tires.
Thank you!
