- Welcome to Bangkok! Today, I have the pleasure of experiencing Thai Airways' latest business class offering aboard one of their A350-900 aircraft on a journey from Suvarnabhumi to Singapore Changi. While there have been some less-than-glowing reviews about this airline online, I found my flight to be remarkably enjoyable. The title is "Thai Airways A350-900 BUSINESS CLASS from Bangkok to Singapore -..." 90% of the video is devoted to way too much details about Su. airport, Thai lounges etc, and confusing details about which check in lane etc. The details, in the video, specific to this flight are very very limited and don't cover the level of personal service from cabin crew. Near the end there's some limited details about costs which I doubt are correct. More to the point the intent of the video is service not fare costs.
Hi, thank you for letting me know what you want to see in a video. 😊
However, I consider ground services such as priority check-in and lounge access as essential parts of flying business. Therefore, I cannot review an airline without showcasing its flagship lounges at its home airport. Additionally, I believe it's important to provide my viewers with information about BKK airport.
In order to cover the personal service from the crew, I will need to obtain consent from the cabin crew. Not everyone likes to be filmed while working, so I always avoid capturing footage of airline workers and blur out their faces during the editing process.
I believe I have covered every aspect of the business experience on board, from the seat to the lavatory, the welcome drink to the in-flight catering.
The price of flights tends to fluctuate, so I included a screenshot of the usual prices on this route in Australian dollars, euros, pounds, and US dollars as a guideline.

Anyone who pays business class for a flight under 3 hours has money to burn.Ridiculous.
To be fair, it was about 50%, not 90%. I am also not particularly interested in Airport info, etc so tend to forward to where I like to watch, ie the menu, lol

I disagree @alanwilliams2284, this review comprehensively covers the entire business class experience from departure to arrival which is valuable to see, especially if someone is looking to travel in business class - different people value different aspects of the experience so it's good to see it in its entirety.
I took the same flight in Dec last year & the service is exceptionally good. The towel service, the meal & the crew were incomparable when lots of airlines have adopted cost cutting policy. The A350 is state of the art aircraft. I prefer the seat layout to the rather wierd fish-bone type.

I didn't realise that the viewing area was open upstairs. I used to go there years ago. It stayed closed for years after the yellow shirt occupation.

First of all, let me commend your proper pronunciation of Suvarnabhumi. So many TH-camrs butcher it. TG lounges have some of the best catering ever! Their curries are amazing! I was in Bangkok about 6 weeks after you and the visibility was extremely poor due to the fires up north. Lucky you to get that fantastic view of Bangkok on take off, that's rare! Sigh, TG's JCL meal has reduced so much though. It now looks so much like a PEY meal. Overall, I believe TG catering is still up there with the best. Loved the video!

LHR to BKK the service was best described as minimal with only 4 attendants to be seen in the whole of economy,2 to each section.

The business-class cabin on this A350 looks a bit dated and definitely tired (or well-worn, shall we say). On the BKK-SIN route, it is clearly a (slightly) inferior product to its equivalent from Singapore Airline, but as you correctly pointed out, the fare is often somewhat cheaper too, which balances things out.
Indeed. One popular UK travel blogger has today made the same point about the A350 being "dated." She was taking TG from Brussels to Bangkok. Another drawback (on a long-haul sector) is that there's no Premium Economy. The latter is a useful 'upgrade tool.' BRU-BKK was overbooked in Y so some lucky passengers found themselves upgraded to J.

Some Chinese full-service carriers, such as Air China, China Southern, Juneyao Airlines, are also flying into Don Muang this year. I think it's because they lost most of their slots at BKK during the zero-covid era and those slots were given to other airlines. Also, DMK may have had extra capacity when these airlines started flying to Thailand again this year.
DMK could be cheaper to land at.Less Chinese pushing and spitting in BKK will be a blessing.

The interior looks very dated and unclean. I found Singapore Airlines much cleaner, and the space for business class (London to Bangkok) was the largest I have experienced.

Perfume is nasty on a airplane. Due to lung problems i cant sit so close to people using perfume. I need to go buisnis every time. Some selfish morons always clean them self with perfume only in the bathrooms and i need to explain to the stewardess every time if they can went or clean.
