Myself as well! So far, I've only used Google's Earth, along with their Street Views feature, checking out whatever I could, wherever. (Done so with Donnolly's Arkansas-Oklahoma Railroad as well.)
Hey I really like how you included the location in the timestamp thats just awesome. These look to me like old CSX switchers. Am I correct or do they just have the same colors?
Small railroads live and die by customer service when the Long Island Railroad in New York had Freight Service they moved 8000 carloads a year when they show their Freight Service to New York and Atlantic now the New York and Atlantic move 37,000 carloads a year fall because they give their customers good service the transit authority doesn't know what to make of it because there are so many freight trains running with the passenger train but that's how they do it in Europe
Apparently, the Grafton & Upton Railroad has rebuilt their (abandoned?) connection at Milford, MA, correct? (I visited the connection there once before, many moons ago.) Now, the CSX Railroad, so it appears, no longer has to run a local freight from somewhere south of Boston down to Franklin (Forge Park), then, back north to Milford so to serve the customers on that line.
There was other freight, a pretty decent amount, being moved between Grafton, Upton, and Hopedale prior to the single car move to Milford. Also not all those engines are being used at the time when pulling those short trains but they stay in the consist until they are needed again.
It’s always great to see trains running on a old line again. Thanks for posting this!
It's something one generally doesn't see happening here, up my way. Anyone care to guess which railroad it is?
I worked at "Bluelynx" when it was Somerville Lumber. I drove tractor trailer for them. Always had lots of train action in there
This is a great video. A lot of picking up and dropping off, and lots of action.
Great video. I like to see old useful thing's come back to life .
Thank you! Me too!
Great video and catch! Love the ex-CSX switchers as well!
love this little railroad.
Great video! Looking forward to chasing this new portion when the weather gets better.

That is so cool, trains run again.

Yes they are former CSX MP15's. Thanks for watching.
Yeah, they definitely look like CSX locos with the CSX logo painted over.

If everyone around the world loved trains the way a railfan loves trains the world would be a much better place cars kill more people than Wars pets 2
Great catch!
Great story!
Really enjoyed seeing those ex-CSX MP-15AC's.
I see they are useing old csx switchers
Thanks. Great video but hard to figure out what the heck they are doing exactly :)
They went from Grafton to Bellingham to switch out BlueLynx. The description should now be loaded in.
looks like csx switchers
Does this go on the Franklin line from Walpole on to forge park or is there another way to get to Milford by rail?
Nope, they get on the line at Milford
@@SouthCoastRailVideos so how do they get to Milford without going on the Franklin branch?
This is the Grafton & Upton so they come from their own line.
@@SouthCoastRailVideos I looked on google maps and didn’t realize that Milford has 2 freight lines

did they have to rebuild any of the small bridges on that route?
I believe there was a small bridge in Hopedale that got some sort of repairs
3 units to bring 1 car in and 3 empties back? Doesn't sound too efficient.

When you push/pull you don't have to turn the locomotive around.
Almost same color as the long island, n y. Switchers
Thanks for watching
