Im 52 and I still have decorations on my tree from when I was a little girl. My mum used to put a bauble in our stocking each year and we'd hang it on the tree on Xmas day. When I left home , i took them all with me. They're all so precious to me ❤. Xxx

Love it stunning, i got new tree and every yr i same im changing theyme mow kids getting older but then i cant bring myself to do it as i have baubles from my mum passing on there and every bauble is a memory as on last day off November i always take kids to pick a bauble just tradition i started and eldest is 24 so lot baubles and they still do it now 😂 so do buy new trees when needed and ornaments and windows light broke last time so need to change that up but actually decs on trees i keep same apart from new bauble they pick this year 😂❤

I’m a grown up 😅 my kids have their own trees and I decorated the dome with candy cane theme for them too, I don’t like to do the same theme in every room - my tree before was less child like with just silver and white - they absolutely love the red with the added candy cane picks and the presents - my kids love it and that’s all that matters
what's the point of buying a new tree if it will be completely covered up with other stuff? ..any metal cone frame or any old tree will work just as well
It’s absolutely gorgeous but makes me sad when did we become so obsessed with things looking picture perfect, what happened to it being a family thing and the kids getting involved.. even if they have their own bedroom trees, it’s so sad we feel like they have to look a certain way these days. 🥲
Was thinking the same.. decorating the tree WITH the kids; is what I would think should be the norm. Edit: I completely missed she had one of her children help her at the start.

Our tree has random decorations on related to family moments a squirrel one from a holiday in Cornwall when we saw them a box of colourful frogs as we've always had frogs in the garden rabbits as we've always kept rabbits my grandma's old baubles she gave us a nativity set from my dad's mum my nan these days seems traditional and family themes are going out 💖🎄🐇🐿️
