How would you rate the natural lagoon overall? I'd give it only a 5/10 sadly. Cool and much-wanted idea, executed with too many limitations :( But I hope the video gives you inspiration for building around the natural lagoon!
I really hope Frontier adds the ability to build natural lagoons on every map in the future. Even with the limitations on this map the lagoon itself is simply breathtaking. It definitely has the best looking water in the game along with the ocean floor. It looks so much better than the artificial man made appeal of the default lagoons. Another amazing build Evo even with the restrictions you still made a beautiful park here. Another reason why you're the best & most inspiring park builder in the community. ❤️
I think a "natural lagoon would be possible. It would more or less be a reskin or alternate of the current lagoon styles. The reskin could allow for more flexibility in shape. The real shape is still based on the round shape of the actual lagoon, but visually it would appear less perfectly round.
The lagoon is so cool and such a great centerpiece. As someone who plays with Dino needs on, the small amount of land is brutal to build on since most Dinos have massive space needs. And I’m callin it now, this will be the map that breaks Evo down and starts the modding lol
One of my favourite sayings in England is ‘you can’t polish a turd 💩’ but evo you POLISHED that 👏🏻 I struggled with what to do with this park and you’ve given me a lot of inspiration

Your creativity is unmatched. I do hope they make another natural lagoon in the future that is made like a normal lagoon but without all the concrete and stuff
My biggest frustration with this map is how enormous the lagoon is. I had a lot of reptiles stray too far and just starve to death cuz they could no longer find fish. Over all i love the look of this map and its gonna be one of my favorites to build on, i am sure
I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that has had problem, that part at the back of the lagoon was pretty much the death zone for any of my Plesiosaurus
Thanks so much i think it is a 6.8/10 because of the actual feature and it is better than a normal lagoon. I think if we did get natural lagoons in the game we should be able to choose the shape of it like with the water placement tool.
I hope that we get another map with a natural lagoon, but were we can place the viewing galleries and hatcheries ourselves, instead of them being pre-built and indestructible. Even if we can only place it at certain points, it would still be an improvement. Maybe it could be river?
I had a similar idea to yours and was immensely disappointed with not being able to use the Zipline from the hill or plateau. One HUGE problem I noticed beyond the build limits was that even with a bunch of feeders, most of my marine animals kept starving! I wonder if anyone else is having this problem?
Omg, this is by far one of your best builds🤩. I LOVE the hotel in front of the dock, you really, really inspired me to build on this map, I May sound weird but i think that the challenge of having limited space make parks so much better, the best Park i build is on uk. But yeah really awesome video I trasucir a i really love what you did here. And i would like to tell you some ideas I have: Build like a abandoned Versalles garden for guest or for dinos and build an olive tree field with a tour (idk how to call it in english in Spain its olivar) My coment is bigget than this map hehe🤣🙃 but yeah awesome video tysm for inspiring me 💙💙💙💙💙

Frontier will probably do so big updates to this map in the future. Hopefully they see this massive "backlash". I love frontier and the work they do but sometimes they take one great step and then 2 steps back.
The build was awesome but the map is literally too small and wierd shaped, i mean you can only place dinos at the top of the hill and the second is the lagoon that's it The left space can only be used for pathing But keeping it aside the build was great as always you come with new ideas idk how 🔥🔥but it's good 😊
I'm really happy mods exist. Freebuild makes this map like 5x better. But even with the many, MANY, constraints, you made an amazing build, as always!!

I'm gonna build a spinosaurus exhibit next to the lagoon and put Spinosauruses in the lagoon, with the Trick how you can put dinos in the Aviary. I'm playing on PS4, so this trick helped me a lot.
A beautiful mediterrenean resort! I hated the terrain constrains during the campaign...just hated it! Like full on screaming ' Please let me build a restroom here!'
The map is just baffling to me. You'd think if the terrain geometry was the issue, why didn't they just push the cliffs back a bit for some extra room? They must've known folk would want to build on the waterfront. Just such a strange design choice.
First thing I did upon installing the dlc was start a sand box park on this map and *my god* have the terrain constraints been a pain in the ass. And as someone who like building nature reserves with very limited buildings the undemolishable (is that even a word) viewing galleries hurt my soul. Since then I have had a little fun finding ways to work around them and creating a sort of failed, half destroyed, resort filled with dinos in the lower portion of the map but damn, the next map with a natural lagoon *at minimum* needs these terrain constraints ironed out.
I gotta say, its not as much the terrain thats the issue its the Malta walls. I tried building a wall instead of a fence and once you stop making 90 degree angles it stops wanting to place.

How do you have people in your park builds, I open my park but, there's no people walking around yet, the Food, Drink and shopping are all full. I don't get it.
This map infuriates so much because it has so much potential, as well having natural lagoons on other maps, yet it is so restrictive. It is H--- to get this to 5* specially with the broken stores in the Malta campaign. I am honestly making a JP and JW parks here in Sandbox while using the other two for full on Maltese parks to be in competition with both Ingen and Biosyn.
A natural lagoon is awesome, but they should have made the map bigger (especially that long narrow pathway up the hill) and lessen on the terrain constraints. 6/10
How about the spino and the mosa just co exist together because the spino and mosa don’t go into each others territory because they have a big enough territory of their own as for the spino not climbing out of the water near the guest it has no need to leave its territory but if it somehow does the people have trained it for hand signs to redirect it back to its enclosure
I hate this lagoon yet i love it bc A. You get a free lagoon and plenty of space for the rest of the park and B. Its a fricking nightmare to build on. so i just ignored it when building a black market on the San maria map
i get the idea that Frontier has some really nice ideas, but the are executed in a way that doesnt make the game more fun, sooooooo many restrictions limit the fun of this game. Mods take care of most limits, just wish Frontier would take a good look at them and implement them

I then cried and bought whale flavoured horse meat from the dark Web and ate ice cream cuz the meat looked inedible. I don't wanna talk about this any further
If only they weren’t so awkward then it would of been good to put a zip line from one bit to another and put it over the shark feeder and it would look like the mosasaurus is about to eat you.
The terrain constrains absolutely ruin the lagoon for me, especially in regular gameplay when you try to drive a ranger vehichle around it but they keep getting stuck because they're disabled from driving anywhere near the edge.
havent built on it yet but from what people say it seems pretty bad like the saying it seems to good to be true it usually is. they gave something cool with the natural lagoon but the map is bad and the terrain constrains are ridiculous. it seems they just like they just had a few selling points and the rest didnt go hard for it, jwe2 seems to be just for the money
So yeah currently doing the Malta campaign and just found out ai Jeep’s can drive at the edge but we cannot walk/drive on the edges… yenno, close to the lagoon viewing galleries… Btw pterosaurs still cannot fly over this or other lagoons. They continue to fly underwater…. This is unacceptable
Imagine putting a zipline across the lagoon only to have a Mosasaurus just jump out the water and grab the guest lmao I wouldn't want to zipline across a lagoon where a giant dino can jump out of the water and grab me lol

Frontier was on to something with adding those decorative wall pieces to the game. They need to add more stuff like that to the other sets.

Marine fences should solve that.
Yeah in my case, the fish all seem to congregate on one side of it which leads to the starving reptile situation.

Bring back dispenser time adjust from 1st game to say when it dispenses so like every 1 minute fish or spam fish dispense so it is packed with fish

I lined up a bunch of shipping containers, flood lights, and placed some some buildings to make it a big shipping dock

idk if it's a mod or if it helps but i think you can place viewing galleries in the docks
that will have been a mod, the docks are only suitable for lagoon decorations and feeders

I know how you roll with Mods Evo, but I can tell you that this map is significantly more fun to build on with the Free Build Mod.
