  • I split the welds on my Stealth Bomber Frame. See what I had to do to get back up and running.
    **********************************
Frame, motor, Sabvoton controller and wheels from Alibaba. Everything else was purchased through various online stores and built in my garage.
    Full Spec List:
    1. QS273 V3 motor, 5T wind
    2. Sabvoton 72200 200amp controller at 150 amp - locked version
    3. 49ah Panasonic battery with 150 amp max bms. (weighs 37lbs.), plus an additional 10ah battery in the controller box running in parallel.
    4. 80/100-21 front tire & 90/100-18 18x1.85 rim in rear with Dunlop K990 tire.
    5. Protaper Aluminum Handlebar, 3" Rise, 31.8mm Bar Clamp, 810mm Width. I cut 1.5” off either side.
    6. Odi Rogue lock on grips. These things are AWESOME!
    7. Shimano Zee 4 piston brakes on both front and back. Front rotor is a SRAM Centerline 220mm with a Hope adapter. Wired for e-brake. These brakes are a definite improvement over Tektros.
    8. Two 210mm DNM RCP 2S 550lbs shocks.
    9. Fox 40 Elite forks with 50lb spring.
    10. Shimano MX 16 Tooth Single Speed Freewheel.
    11. Fender is off a Razor MX650 and cut down to size. Had to get creative in mounting this as there is no mounting holes on the DNM fork. A bit of a ghetto mount but it works.
    12. SCOSCHE MAGTFM2 MagicMount XL Universal Flush Mount Holder for Mobile Devices.
    13. CAB Motorworks Saddleman seat made in USA. LOVE this seat. SO much better than the Chinese version.
    14. Nkomax automatic Smart Bike Tail Light Ultra Bright
    15. OneUp Components Composite Pedals. Your feet stick to these like glue.
    16. Izumi Chain JET BLACK Easy Running 1/8" BMX
    17. FFSA Gravity Light Direct Mount Stem 31.8mm 5D 45mm, with a Direct Mount Stem Stack Billet Spacer 12mm from SOUL
    18. RaceFace Narrow Wide 1x Chain Retaining Chainring 5-Bolt 110mm BCD 40t Black with Promax SQ-1 155mm crank arms.
    19. 180lbs.
    20. Grin Cycle Satiator 72 volt e-bike SMART battery charger.

I'm pretty sure I have the same generation frame kit, are there any other areas that should be welded while the frame is bare? I don't want to add too much weight but welding the whole thing.
Also, do you have an opinion on speed vs torque with different wheel sizes? For instance a 3.5t with a 17" rim or a 5T with a 19" rim? I want as much torque as possible but still some decent top speed. I'd be happy with 50mph

Ohhh no bro I had 2 different frames break in exactly the same way riding off-road and hitting bumps and rocks and stuff. My bolts def were not too tight though. Guys you have to realize this made of plate carbon steel and isnt seam welded both sides only one side with spots on inside, and it has no internal frame making this frame ,really week even doing small jumps.we have one of these and have had to do major mods to make it lighter, safer, and changed tiny shock to big 350mm shock with linkage arm assembly, now its smooth through whole shock range ,also found using a 9c motor with 9x7 winding upgading phaze wires and swapping out magbets for neodtmiums then heat and waterproofing and fero fluid with hubsinks, gets the bike up to 105 kms per hour on 72 volts.with bonus of having like 8 kilos only in weight on rear wheel, managed to cut the frames weight close to half .its ened up being one big tall bike now ,feels like the old huge trail bikes. im hoping soon though can get 2 of the extra fast grin all alxe motors so can make it dual drive ,for when its ready to go up for sale.

    • @mountainlion4853
      @mountainlion4853 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1. Low Density and High Strength
The density of titanium is 4.51g/cm³, which is higher than aluminium but much lower than steel, copper and nickel. Compared with steel bolts, titanium bolts can save 40% weight.
The tensile strength of the most common titanium alloy grade 5 can reach a minimum of 895mpa, so the strength of titanium bolts is much higher than that of stainless steel bolts. For ordinary pure titanium, such as grade 2, the tensile strength is lower than that of stainless steel bolts.
      2. Excellent Corrosion Resistance
Titanium is very stable in many media, such as titanium in oxidizing, neutral and weak reducing media is highly resistant to corrosion. So titanium bolts are widely used in chemical industry.
      3. Heat Resistance and Low Temperature Resistance
The titanium bolts can be used for a long time at 600 ℃ or higher. Titanium alloy TA7 (ti-5al-2.5sn), Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) and Ti-2.5Zr-1.5Mo are representative of low-temperature titanium alloy. They maintain good ductility and toughness at low temperature of - 196-253 ℃ and avoid cold brittleness of metal. They are ideal materials for low-temperature vessels, tanks and other equipment.

I’m sure you are correct that this bike is faster but my point is only that you are calling it something that it is not. There are relatively very few videos about the real Stealth bikes from actual owners. I’m about to buy a Stealth F37 and it was somewhat concerning to see that someone broke a frame, until I looked at your full parts list to see that it’s not a Stealth and I don’t think you can compare the Stealth frame build quality to a Chinese copy from Alibaba and use that to draw any conclusions whatsoever about the reliability or build of a Stealth.
For example CAB Motorworks Eagle and Recon I believe uses a frame similar to this one and their warranty clearly states that if you jump the bike or ride it aggressively then the warranty is void… what?!? It’s a mountain bike/ dirt bike hybrid that has over 10k watts of power with full suspension and you’re not supposed to ride it aggressively. Hmmm. So, back I went to looking for a (real) Stealth bike (though I’m also considering a “Cake Kalk&” since it’s street legal as a motorcycle). Anyway I still like your channel, I’m just suggesting to be more factual in the titles. Thanks.
