At last, A Taconic Shave review that gives proper usage, and performance demonstrations. I use this soap, their bay rum, and the Lime also. I use the toning mist after washing my face with a charcoal cleanser. Then another spritz after my shave, I follow with Taconic's post shave balm. I own, and use Taconic beard oil, beard balm, and shampoo bar (all in Urban Woods) as well. Love their products. I am very pleased they support the wet shavers who provide these video features. The head of that Parker looks identical to a Vintage( circa 1968 ) Gillette Knack razor. I have one and know first hand it gives an extraordinarily smooth shave but is super mild. So, it comes as no surprise that you got such a fine shave. Congrats on being given the products to sample. They really look good and aren't excessively expensive. I will seriously check out the company. Thanks for the show. :)

Just ordered one here in England just wanted to try it only £21.00 to go with my R41 twist & R89 twist this Parker 76R reminds me of my fathers but today they want £1400.00 for it today on eBay UK so I will try this one :-)

I have been looking for a butterfly razor and I have spent my pocket money on the Parker 76R and having watched a few of your videos I've also gone for some products a Prorasa red sandalwood soap and and Shea Butter Pre and Post Shave Cream, Proraso Repair Gel and a Proraso Professional Boar Hair Shaving Brush. Hope I can get on with the change in shaving from the Mach. I shave my head as well so watch this space. Great videos I have just subscribed. Happy new year.

Great video Kevy. I got myself two weeks ago a Packer 96R for just 20 pounds on ebay and its well worth the money. It shaves really smooth and its a lovely razor.
Great video again Kevy. You deserve to be asked to test these products - as you are in the top three wet shaving channels (IMO). I had a Parker 99R but traded it. For some reason didn't find it the smoothest razor but may not have given it the chance it deserved. How would you rate the Taconic soap in terms of slickness and protection? Chris, that's a lovely thing to say about my channel, thanks. I would say the Taconic soap provided good protection. It wasn't the slickest soap I've used but I would say there was ok slickness. Maybe 6/10 on that score. I really enjoyed using the Parker razor.
Hello Kevy. I have a Parker 92R, very similar to your 76R. I find that I sometimes 'skate' over my face, as if I had slid the shiny top part down my cheek. Is it just me or have you found that with the 76? Also 92 is a bit light. I will be looking for a Parker brush though. Thanks.
Hi Chris. I can't say that has happened to me using the 76R. If it feels like it's skating over your fave maybe you could try adjusting the angle so that the blade is in contact with your beard/skin. It''s sometimes difficult to get it just right but you'll know when you have it and then it becomes second nature. Every razor is different when it comes to angles. Just a thought. The :Parker Brush I have has a brilliant weight to it. Nice and heavy. Cheers. Kevy :)
Hi Kevy, could you please tell me how is the agressiveness of the 76r... I currently have a merkur 34C and a parker variant, the merkur i feel is too mild and the variant i don’t like the bulk of the head and sadly one of the sides of my variant is more agressive than the other. I have the choice to buy a parker 99r or a 76r, i would go for the more agressive of the two, please help me. Thanks.
I've not tried a 99R. I think the 76R is a similar razor with a different coloured handle. I like the 76R and I would say it is quite efficient. It definetley feel more aggressive than the 34C for me. If you want something different, have a look at the 65R. I did a video on the different Parker razors. Good shave Kevin ..I'm,thinking the feather blade wasn't a good match for the Parker ..for what ever reason...try a less sharp but smoother blade next time..polsilver perhaps ..yes you are lucky..I'm still waiting for a few Christmas presents from last year...lol...missed Riley pup...He's worth a thumbs up all by himself...yes.. every razor has a perfect blade match...but so many combo's......razor...blade...beard...soap...so many mix and matchs...My perfect match is a 34C with a polsilver blade...everything else is optional according to taste...Most everything works on a first 3 pass shave... the real winners do the same on the 3 shave that they did on the first...I never do 4...hope the sun continues to,follow you through the day...cheers !
William M Trexler Thanks William. You are correct in what you say in your comment. This video was a while back and Feathers have fallen out of favour with me. I find them quite harsh at times although I have also used them and they've given me great shaves, but not recently. Blades are so subjective it's crazy how such a small piece of metal can be so different! I've been using the vintage Gillette's recently and I love them to bits. I buy 2 bottles at a time. It's well formulated, and softens over V worked, dry skin.
