Mariah songs have lots of background vocals so there’s always a backtrack and her background singers and with Mariah it’s pretty easy to tell when she’s lipping since most of the time she’s focusing on looking pretty Instead of mouthing the words lmao

Her chest are meat n potatoes. Also it's given talent trained talent genetic talent ability, some sorcery lol and pure art. She sings her instrument sounds writes and layers harmonies. Lyricist mariah eats at everything. She is aware of what she does to each note arrangement.
Dude for real. YOU ARE NOT LISTENING!!!! I love you I swear, but you are driving me nuts with the chest voice thing, dude LISTEN!!! I used to be like that before too, and what I learned and you need to understand is, every style she uses to sing is with intention to deliver the lyrics with the emotion, singing in that whispery style you hate so much is a way to make you listen closely to what shes saying, like when someone is whispering something to you, so you need to listen to the emotion behind it, then when she starts to climax she does it on specific lyrics to bring attention to them and to deliver the emotion behind them like a shout and a cry out loud, "I promised my self not to give in" on chest belted voice like shes shouting to herself I said I wouldnt do this, then she imediately brings it down low to the whispery voice and falseto "anymore this is bad" makes you feel it even more!!! Cause this is bad but shes letting go!!! If she belts all the time you would not feel the dopamine when she starts to ripping it belting!!! When you start to appreciate things the way they are you start to enjoy and tresure them more!!!! You driving me nuts I swear lol. And stop stoping mid runs and climaxes and let it rip jeeez lolol
This is all live. It is very very obvious when Mariah is lipping, she’s horrible at it. And she doesn’t do it all chest voice cuz she said that would be boring. If she has so many textures and dimensions so why not explore it all?
