Oh Luke, I’m having such a bad day, I’ve been feeling so anxious. Your video came at the perfect time! Your calming voice, beautiful presentation, and classic perfumes make me feel so much better. Thank you for keeping me company. I hope you’re doing well! 😊❤
@@lukeparfums Thank you so much Luke for your sympathy. 🫂 Finding your way in life can be difficult. Even discouraging at times. However, on the bright side, there are always small pleasures that make all the difference. Your videos are one of them for me. I appreciate what you do.❤️
Trésor was my grandmother scent and it brings back so many beautiful memories everytime I smell it! For myself I prefer Midnight Rose which has a 20% similar vibe I’d say. Rose was like 75% of my collection a few years back but violette is a note I need to look into more seriously. Being 51 now, I feel like I can pull off more grownup notes now… 😅😂 Sì Intense is one i adore, both versions 2021-2023.
Hi Julie! I love that. Midnight Rose is just a tiny bit too fruity for me but it’s lovely nonetheless. Have you by any chance tried the other Trésor flanker in the tall bottle? I forgot the name. Violet and powdery scents tend to lean more mature, I agree. When I was a teenager, I couldn’t stand violet in fragrances. I guess my taste has matured too. I really need to retry Si Intense and decide if I need a bottle… I don’t feel like getting the original again. 🙂
I always love to watch your video's , especially because your reviews are not the big hype reviews but your real feelings about the perfumes your wear. The only bottle rose scented perfume that I used up completely is Rose Extase by Nina Ricci . I don't go for fruity or sweet fragrances normally but this one smells very nice and garden rose to me!
Rose and violet together can go either way for me. It really depends whether iris is involved I think and how warm and powdery it is overall. Some I just find too much. Separately though I absolutely love rose and violet! As you know, I love Coco Mademoiselle intense and Lolita Lempicka and I absolutely agree with you, Delina isn't for me either. 😂
Iris can be too much for me too, it really depends on the fragrance. I know you love Coco Mademoiselle Intense and Lolita Lempicka. I really don’t understand what’s with all the hype around Delina. I’m almost afraid to say it out loud! 😂
Thank you for sharing these. I'm very much hit and miss with rose scents. My favourites are Boucheron Rose d'Isparta, a tart spicy rose and a very realistic rose though really strong - Perfumer's Workshop Tea Rose. I keep meaning to get samples of Les Parfumes de Rosine's perfumes as she's all about rose fragrances.
Rose is an iffy note for me unfortunately; I like rose with a twist like my beloved Paris, if that makes sense 🤷♀️. I've tried to explore though, and I'm halfway through Elie Saab Essence No 1 but I probably won't repurchase. Rose Silence and Scherzo by Miller Harris are nice, just not for me.
Yes! My favorite notes! I have too many rose fragrances to list, but I do have a mini of vintage Yvresse, Tresor, Miss Dior Cherie and a full bottle of Paris. I also love violet, and have original bottles of Lolita Lempicka EDT which is more powdery and doesn’t have licorice. And an original bottle of Insolence by Guerlain, the ultimate violet powder bomb. Merci, Luke!❤️🌹💜
@@julieschnorenberg5370 Hi Julie! Do you have a vintage bottle of the LL EdT? Mine is EdP I believe. Insolence, however, was not for me. It really is a violet bomb. Thanks for watching!💜☀️
i'm so glad i found your channel! it seems like we are into the same types of fragrances, and your voice is so calming and the video is so informative with lovely, vivid descriptions! subscribed :)
Hi Luke! I love roses and violets! We have so many of these perfumes in common. Lovely! April Violets was first released in 1913???😮😮😮 I have, and love, Armani Sí Intense. I haven’t had much luck with Versace. 😢 I don’t like Delina either. 😂 I love your end of video music! Thank you for another great video! I, for one, am not surprised. 😊
Hi Leah! Yes, it’s that old. Yardley has been around since the 19th century. I’m considering getting the Intense version of Si. Do you mean with Versace in general? Thanks for stopping by today!🙂🧡
I think of all the perfumes my mother wore over the years that Trésor might have been my favorite. I think I need to get a bottle! I love rose and violet. 😊 Lovely video.
My favorite category (violet!). I find your videos so calming. Thank you 💜 my favorite violets are Guerlain Apres L’Ondee, Balenciaga L’Essence, TDG Ombre Mercure.
I really like Paris, but I can’t really smell the rose in it. What I mainly smell are mimosa (tree) and honey weirdly enough. It’s not mentioned here, but I quite like Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet; it’s very fresh and chic, though a bit juvenile imo.
I can definitely detect a lot of rose in Paris as well as the mimosa, and a bunch of other floral notes. It’s a very complex fragrance. I have a sample of MD Blooming Bouquet and I really like it, if only it lasted on me. Thanks for watching!🙂
Hi Luke Hope you are well . I love Rose and Violet in Fragrances . I have a small bottle of Tresor in my Collection . I’ve had it awhile now and certainly a Classic . Very recently purchased a 100ml bottle of Poeme By Lancôme as well as A 50ml bottle of Amarige by Givenchy . Prompted by your videos as you have profiled both in recent videos and well I once had Amarige but used it up . And like you being out of Tresor I was out of Amarige for over a year now easy . So both are Classics and Considered Fall/Winter Scents so I thought it’s time to get a Bottle . Always wanted Poeme so I got it as well . Thanks for the lovely video my Vintage Fragrance Friend . TIL Next time Laura in Canada . ❤😊🌺🌸🇨🇦🇨🇦
Hi Laura! I’m doing well, thanks. How about you? Trésor and Poême will definitely be repurchased at some point in the future. They’re year round for me but they really shine in the autumn when it’s still warm. Thanks for watching!🙂🧡
This is off topic but I lately came back for nostalgic teasons to Coty Vanilla Fields? Do you have any own experience of similar fragrance? Was it a dupe of Coty for something? Greetings😉
Hello there! Yes, I think it’s lovely, though I’m not sure it’s still available. I can recommend a fantastic alternative though, Chopard Casmir. Thanks for watching!🙂
Heyyy Luke, soo I've found a vintage bottle of Yvress with approx 45mls left in a 50ml (which I realise is a bit of a risk as it's been opened 😑) however do you think the offer from seller of £65 is a decent deal or not? 🤔 Sry to bother, but thank you for your input 🙏🙌❤️ xx...incidentally, I do own a recent bottle of the newer formulation which I love so much and was thinking of getting a back up before it's discontinued or there's a price hike 🙄 which is why I started looking vintage since you say yours is so beautiful 😍❤️ xx
Hi there! It’s no bother.🙂 Yes, I think it’s a decent deal given how astronomically expensive vintage Yvresse has become. Price per ml is what matters. I paid less but my bottle is only 30ml.
@@lukeparfums ok brilliant, I really value your expertise so thank you again! 🙏 Buying vintage is a risk, so any reassurances can be a godsend 😆😜 Happy weekend ahead ✨🤸xx
Helllooo Luke, I can happily report my vintage Yvress bought from ebay was a success!! It's more nuanced, potent and rich, but I think I like both the new and older versions for different reasons 🤔 The newer being a bit more sparkly and long lasting too. It's great to know I will have a version of Yvress in my life for the forceeable!! 🤩👌🙌💪🥳 xx
