Dude...you have really GOOD 'docking skills' - docking skills separates the men from the boyz in my mind! As I was watching, I had flash backs to when I drove OTR [1970's - 80's] to some of those 'places' known for being tough docking. We loaded Girl Scout cookies out of Berry Biscuit in Elizabeth, NJ as back hauls. The loading docks where inside the building between pillars with little swing area - two bays between the pillars, really tight spaces. Guys would pay me $20-$40 to dock their trailers - back in the day that was excellent 'cash' pocket money for ten minutes of work! While getting loaded, I might dock five or six other rigs - good 'party' money for sure! Another similar 'drill' was a place in Kansas City. Anyhoo...most drivers can 'aim' straight going down the road, it's a whole other ball game backing up - you got that covered in spades! Keep the shiny side up, the greasy side down!

Even when a guy is having a bad day i just look out the window at the sun coming up, tunes on and my cat whistling away while I sip a coffee and I realize this is the shit I’ll miss when I’m old and that things ain’t really that bad. I never got a chance to drive the 389. I retired 2 years or so before they existed. My 379 was nothing I complain about. The later 359 was great in their day. I bet peterbilt made the 389 comfortable

Guys have been building gliders for a long time, but Fitzgerald seemed to make them popular, at least as an alternative to the DPFs and junk on the new store-bought trucks. D&B in Kentucky does a nice job, as do many other outfits. I am looking at Kustom Truck in Oregon to build mine.

Hey bro ya got a bad ass ride man. But there's something missing in that flat top pete. A raised chrome shifter. That lets everybody know that your driving a real truck. And not a sissy truck with an automatic in it. Remember that a super trucker drives a real truck.
What horsepower is it ? Over here (ireland) Volvo and scania are hitting 750 bhp which I think is ridiculous. Even road train prime movers in Australia only hit about 650 ( or so is my understanding ). This peterbuilt almost drives like a car. Only time it seemed under any pressure was when on a hill. Great to see shifting gears. Almost every truck sold here is automatic. Some drivers like em , some don’t. It’s all cabovers here too. The legal lengths rule out anything longer. Shame ! Don't tell your boss, but when you were backing up into the door at the one business, I could hear the squeak to where Petes get the nickname Squeakerbuilt. And PS, I see how each driver is different on what kind of shifter he or she prefers. I see you like a taller more less in your lap shifter while your boss prefers a more level with his lap shifter.
Correct me if i'm wrong, but a "glider" is a newer cab/frame that uses an older engine/trans and rear end? I'm new to a lot of this. Is this done to get around emissions laws?
