Great video on the fresno. I never saw my father in law work his but I did work his slip quite a bit when I as 19 yrs old. These units help build roads for many years. Thanks for sharing!
I Googled it. They were originally called a Fresno Scraper. They were developed for building canals in sandy soil. I still haven't figured out where the name tumblebug came from.
I have a scraper similar to that one mine has no hydrologics it fastness on the three point lift and has tires on the back when the lift goes down the front opens and it'll ready to dig and a rope trips it to dump
Pure simplicity that works. I love it.

Pretty Cool! My wife wondered what you been doing lately. Told her you are trying to get into the Highway Construction business!
That is Neat never seen one like that. What brand is it? I bet it has to have a wear plate on the bottom from dragging it all over .
Helluva Tumblebug you got there fella
Got a Sears David Bradley tumblebug I use to clean out cow lots. Scrapes shit and leaves the dirt.
Works great for that!
A machine built on the KISS method. It doesn't get much better than this.

Am I hearing a Farmall pulling the scraper?
May I ask what horse power your tractor is?? Thank you
@@squatch253 I see appreciate your reply.
What kind of tractor are you using?
I think this was one of the first videos I made when I had my Farmall H on it, working on sloping the sides of the new driveway 👍
works great!
Jpaydirt would be proud.
We called these Fresnos
Very neat! people were far more creative in the 1900s.
It's a hard way to go but in its day it was quit the machine

Use you're hydraulic down to load the scoop ,when full raise the draw bar to travel to dump the scoop.
