Both Part 1 and Part 2 have been invaluable in fixing a damaged main drum on my Grandmother’s Knitmaster. These videos made the replacement of the drum so much easier for me to complete. Despite it being a different make/model so much of this was applicable and useful. Thank you so much Roberta!

I had to review it for a machine with drums as I had forgotten how to do so, some of it I remembered but there were a few steps I missed. But I was so happy to have them for others.

Wonderfully clear video! I used your this technique to free up the drums on my singer which moves much more freely now.

Fantastic! That is one reason I prefer the singer type machines, to me it is easier to get the carriage working.

Thanks for posting this, I will try this on my sk155. I love that machine, I just need to get the punch card working again.

I am glad this will help you as well, the one I did this for, she already got her singer carriage cleaned up and working. I am also glad that I like to take things apart, was a little nervous at first but then I figured that if I couldn't get it back working, I would be looking for another carriage but my SK326 is singing again like she was new. Keep an eye out for other videos that I will use her as well.

I forgot to say that the carriage is hard to move without yarn

Nathalie Letellier I am not sure but maybe the drums are not lined up correctly? Or maybe the carriage is not sitting on the bed just right? These are only guesses, I have repaired most of my machines but I have also sent some out for someone else to do it that has all the right tools and knows the correct measurements.
