    Absolutely love this idea Sasha. I am going to make one for my daughter who has just finished her degree finals to let her know how proud we are of her. She will love to squish the "shaker" element. Thanks so much for sharing.

    Cool card. If you put glue on your foam tape you have a little wiggle room to put in place. For the flower squidgy it is called a ball tool lol. I love this card. Great job!!

    There's a product in the cake decorating section called icing gel or piping gel if I remember correctly. Use a funnel to put it in a dollar store squeeze bottle. Then it's non toxic should you accidentally touch your face get it in your mouth a kid open the pouch lots of things could happen. Cake decorators gel is meant to be eaten. You could also use edible glitter if there's a remote chance someone would eat it. I'm curious about using gel food coloring maybe get fun swirls with the gel until you squish it too much and it fully mixes. Also if you have a bag and seal you could use the heat sealer to seal the ends just be careful not to over seal and melt the bag.
    It's really amazing how many cake decorating tools, and other products transfer over to the paper crafting world and are far cheaper.

      I would wonder if edible decorating things would have a shorter shelf life and go mouldy?

    I loooooove your card 🥰🥰🥰 The colours and the sequins are so beautiful. Did I mention this technique to you one time? I made cards with hairgel many many years ago. I think back then I just put the hairgel between normal doublesided tape and normal acetate. But I remember that that dried up after one year. So cool to see how you did it🥰👍

    Great tip to get your letters lined up-I struggle with that! I also love that you left your mistakes in the video! Good tip about the tape versus glue cause that would be me :) I I don't know the name of that tool either but you did make me spit my water when you called it "a stylus on steroids" too funny! Thanks for sharing this card!

    This technique has sent me on quite a journey, I bought some hair gel but it was too thick, so I ended up diluting it with Glycerine. My first card I put in far too many sequins, the second attempt was a bit better and the third attempt the sequin mix was about right. I was trying to make it so that there was movement when you tilted the card but when I rewatched your TH-cam yours didn't seem to move much. I've ended up with the first card no movement because of all the sequins but it is nice to touch. The third card had a lot of movement. It's an enjoyable journey, thank you for your video. I saw you also on Craft Stash doing this technique.

    • @SashaReade

      it's just plastic so it is just holding the gel like a zip lock bag would. And because it's taped around the foil card it gives it firmness if that makes sense :)

      well apparently some people have said it holds up well in the mail! I will give it a go just to see. It's heavier with the gel so you'll want to get it weighed

    Also--what do you call that soft mat you were shaping the flowers on (rubbing them w/ the embossing tool)

    • @SashaReade
      @SashaReade  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it's a thick bit of foam, often you can get them as pokey mat's for when you use a pokey tool. Thats what this one was. Firm piece of thick foam
