just finised this book. I loved it! In the middle Feyi did get on my nerves as she was being annoying with how she felt towards Alim. But in the end it made so much sense and you could feel the love
Fantastic review! I really like this book my only complaint was that I didn't believe the son would be so quick to forgive, even if he had little right to be angry to begin with.
Actually I had another complaint too. She should have dropped the son THE MOMENT he expressed homophobic tendencies. It was clear from how he reacted to the mere mention of his father being interest in men that he was homophobic.
I've heard so much about this book, this author, and can see for myself a gorgeous cover! 🤩 I think I have a different Emezi lined up at home, though, first... and your description of the plot makes it seem more rom-com/commercial, whereas their other books have felt more experimental/literary, at least from descriptions... is there a difference, in your opinion? Thanks! :)
The book was so amazing I cried the last chapter 🥹❤️
