    Thank you so much for explaining this in an easy to understand way for those of us totally new to Canva like me. You have a true gifting. You were easy to understand and didn't leave me asking "where did she click to get that to come up?" like I have often with other tutorials. I so appreciate that because being completely new they still had me lost & frustrated where you always showed or at least said click here to open this. So easy to follow. You're a Godsend to me as a beginner with no prior background. Thank you I'm subscribing. I have a lot to learn as quickly as possible. Keep up the great work. It's excellent.

    Hey Natalia, This was incredible. I subscribed and look forward to learning more. I use Canva also everyday for my work as a my church's media director. My colleagues love my work and I tell everyone that I am NOT a graphic artist. Keep sharing such awesome videos. One thing I want to learn is how to blend edges of pictures. I look forward in watching more of your videos. 😊😊😊

    • @NataliaKalinska
      @NataliaKalinska  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Awesome! Thank you so much 😀 There is no feature that allows you to blend edges at the moment. If you want a blurry edge, one workaround would be to blur the whole photo using Adjust => Blur and then add the same photo on top of it and remove background. Not ideal but works in some instances. If you mean blending the edges of one or two images together there is no option to do it currently. If I want to incorporate one image into a solid color background, I search for gradients in the Elements and there is one with a transparent edge which lets you choose a color. It's not ideal again but does the job at times.

    Really good work! Thank you so much for the tips :D
    I will add as a #tip that: when I feel that I am at 60% of the progress on Canva but still I am not satisfied with the result (because of many reasons) then I copy the page that I am working on 2 - 3 times so I can try at each copy whatever I have on my mind( different font, different color, bla bla bla). In the end, I can select the best option, according to what is matching best! So, I have worked almost in every possible way and I chose the best (according to my aesthetic)!

    • @NataliaKalinska
      @NataliaKalinska  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Completely agree, Dorothea! It's such a great tip and I actually use this method myself whenever I'm stuck. Thank you for sharing! 🙏😊

    hey hi! first of all thanks so much for this amazing video, I've been using canva since more than a year now but I still didn't know some things. so I wanted to ask you a question: I was doing a project and I wanted to show my assignment like pages opening in a book. I got a video/gif which has pages of a book opening, but I'm lost on how I can put my elements and text just for that short second of the page? do you have any idea if this is possible?

    • @NataliaKalinska
      @NataliaKalinska  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad I could help, Indrani! 😊 You can place the video/gif on a few slides within one design and apply the text & elements over it for each slide (representing each page turned). Then, you can use the Animate options to adjust the timings and also trim the video itself within Canva (if it is a video) to make the transitions between slides seamless. Canva doesn't have any advanced masking options so it may be a lot of trial and error and playing around before you get the result you like. Basically, you'd have to edit it in such a way that each page turn is represented on each slide, if that makes sense. It may be tough to imagine just from the description, but hopefully I got what you meant! 😉

    The View menu doesn't appear for me. Writing this on February 25, 2021. I found the Ruler and Guides under the File menu. I'm using Canva Pro. Thanks for the terrific tutorial! Will be watching more of your videos.

      That's true, Canva has just recently removed the View option from the top bar! The options to show guides, rulers, margins and print bleed has now been moved under the File tab so easily accessible from there. To change to a Grid View, you can now click in the bottom right corner of the editor on the small layer icon (indicating the number of pages) right next to the percentages. Grid View is only available when you have more than one page in your design. As far as I know, what was called the Thumbnail view is now available only for any video format designs.

    OMG!! You're fantastic! Since I'm fairly new at Canva, I had to watch it in chunks--not every day-need to sit with it and absorb. I will have to watch it again since it was so much information. Sometimes, I had to slow down the speed so I could absorb. I would love a tutorial hands-on meaning as you go through each step we would do it on the screen versus just listening. It may be something to consider. Thank you so much

    I work with photoshop a lot, but I love Canva as well, I had no idea some or most of the shortcuts were the same , this is going to make my life so much easier, plus the tips you shared I’ve never heard of or seen before, so thank you so much for that.

    Holy cow! You have an astounding amount of Canva knowledge! I obviously have much to learn about Canva as it was hard for me to follow along with your very fast presentation. Definitely not your fault that I need the info delivered a little slower! I am sure I will be coming back to this and doing a lot of stop/start/rewind/play again. I subscribed after about 90 seconds! Looking forward to using your channel to up my Canva game! Great job!

      Always happy to help Cherie! ✨ You could try reducing the video playback speed to 0.75 or 0.5 to catch everything that’s happening on the screen as well. Happy to have you here and good luck with your designs 🙌

    • @NataliaKalinska
      @NataliaKalinska  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much Rose! ✨ You basically select the photo from your desktop, click and hold it, then drag it over your browser icon so that it appears where you have a Canva design open, then drop it into the editor. Hope it helps!
