To try to trap hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers on the wrong side of the river. Also to eliminate supply into Severodonetsk from the west. It will make crossing the river harder, but they probably assume that Ukraine has the bridge rigged, so they were never going to be able to use it anyway.

Meanwhile in the real world Ukraine is losing the war. There are mass surrender and desertion. The most important thing is that Ukrainian professional army including elite Nazi units like Azov regiment suffered unsustainable losses and you can't do much with conscripts (most of them are really unwilling to fight for the regime). Just yesterday 32 Ukrainian soldiers were shot dead by Ukrainian Nazi unit while crossing the frontline trying to surrender.

Afghanistan was desert and mountains. Vietnam was jungles and swamps. Ukraine is forests and steppe (Russians are used to fighting in these conditions). That is why there has been no significant insurgency in Kherson or Zaporizhia Oblasts

Bridges also provide access for invading armies and supply routes for them. These bridges were probably destroyed by Ukraine army troops as a defensive measure. Just like they did in the early days of this "war". An agressive army wants to control the bridges, not destroy them. How can you advance accross a river with no bridges? i think this article is misinformative.

These counter attacks had some success, so by destroying the bridges no more reinforcements and it will be easier for Russia to hold ground in the city without fear of counter attacks. But ya now they cant cross the river, if this was ukraine they would have retreated their forces first

I don't understand, why do you keep on reporting incorrect information? Does it really matter who destroyed the bridges? Not really, but it for accuracy it was not done by the RU/DPR/LPR troops. Ukrainians have been blowing up bridges to slow down the Russian advance this whole conflict.

Not really when you look at technology and the times it is dated to. Ukrainian forces can easily overcome this with proper gear like the US is given them and other countries as well. The problem comes when they stop giving them these superior weapons. Then it’s 1 v 10 like you say.
