It is the ultimate TR3. Any guesses on what it cost to put this together and the current retail value?

@@loucostabile I bought my TR3 from the Florida man who commissioned the ultimate TR3. He sold my car to me in 2013 to help finance the ultimate TR3. I am surprised he sold the ultimate TR3 so soon. I would love to see the ultimate TR3 inperson

I have a very similar TR3 hand built by the same guy at Racetorations and it cost close to £90k about 5 years ago. Although I have twin 45 DCOE Webers so not as reliable as injection

Gorgeous car! Racetorations does great work. I am sure some of the body panels are bespoke, but others may be from Revington TR, who have been making aluminum bits for TRs for a long time.
The engine in this car is simply over the top! To spin up to 6500 rpm without concern, it no doubt has a billet crank. Racetorations has been producing those for some time.
I am not surprised by the White painted frame. It"s not unusual for racers to paint the frame white or another light color, as it makes it a lot easier to spot any stress cracks starting to develop and address them before they become a more serious problem.
As a longtime TR owner, it is hard to imagine all the hours and thought that have gone into this car. My '62 TR4 was raced a bit back in the day and has a lot of mods... But nowhere near what we se here!
I've got a TR4 frame squirrelled away in storage, with plans to build my own "Beta" (not to be confused with TR3B, which was a milder update of the TR3A, sold concurrently with the TR4 IN '61 to '63). All I need is a TR3A body and a few hundred other bits. I'll be building a steel body though, same as the factory prototypes. (There were aluminum fenders, door skins, boots, bonnets and other bits from the factory though... On the LeMans TR3, TRS and TR4, as well as on at least some of the factory rally cars and N. American works cars.)
My favorite Triumph is the Italia. Revington TR has the means to build one, since only about 400 were originally built and they are now rather rare. Either way, they're a bit out of my price range (as is this stunning "Beta")
