I also rate Beaver Nuggets as an 8 but the Brisket sandwich is definitely a 10. I always stop at Buc-ees every time I go back home to the RGV. Can't say enough how much I love you both. I love your aura. The synergy between you two is amazing.

But don't bring me there bec I'd spend the whole day sniffing around the place. Lol! I agree the best attraction there is the fresh hot food section. I like your bucket hat. Banana pudding is SOOO GOOOD! One of my fondest memories from the South. Also, not sure if it's a Texas thing, but fried okra is yummy, too. And fried pickles if you can find them.

One of the owners is named Arch Aplin and his nickname is “Beaver” hence the beaver in the logo. The name Buccees came from a Labrador retriever dog he had named Buck!

Come to the one on I-10 just as you're approaching Katy, TX (west of Houston), that one has the biggest car wash than any of the Buc-ees in existence. We go there from time to time to get quick snacks, drinks, the BBQ sandwiches and even batteries (the batteries are cheaper there than at Wal-Mart).
Their breakfast items are the bomb! Sausage, potato, bacon burritos or biscuits. Made fresh while you watch.

You don't know what Taffy is? It's basically a chewy hardened sugar molasses candy. Not sure what the base ingredients are, but the use these kneeding machines to continuously kneed it to get it to the consistency they want. My favorite is just good ol' Vanilla. Chocolate isn't bad either. But they make all sorts of flavors.
