Some youtuber needs to do a test by sending in a stack of really nice modern books of some title and once they are graded send them back again . I bet they all get different grades
All books are tanking now. This whole thing is a way to put a boost to the market. It's all manipulation. Anyone that pays 20 times for a point 1 microscopic difference that you can't see. let them be foolish. If you think the market is crashing now. Wit til the 9.9 and 10's crash.
So the person who got these back messaged me tonight. He isn’t from an auction house or anything. Just someone that sent in some Spider-Man 1 silver editions in a 9.8 prescreen. He basically won the lottery =).
Ryan, did you see the CGC 10 metropolis comics got on the Wolverine 1 limited series? 😂 GSX 1 9.9, Wolverine 1 CGC 10…they knew whose books they were grading
Something I always wondered about about the census even more o lately. How do we know that the number of 9.8's is accurate anymore. Considering how many people break them open on the own. How does cgc know the number is no longer in use? Therefore isn't that creating inflated inventory (basically) which means....... lower prices.
This is my opinion on it. The census on its own doesn’t really impact prices much. It’s the books coming for sale that impacts prices. So an artificially inflated census doesn’t matter much to me. The ones that matter are when a bunch of new copies are found or a new high grade copy where there are very few and then those copies all come up for sale at the same time. That’s what can impact prices. Not really the census so much on its own.

I stay away from books like this, I mean I own like ten of them but these are books I don’t hesitate to sell… it’s not like you won’t ever be able to find one again… these are not the books I actively collect
@@AutomaticComics for me it's not so much a topic. But all videos seem to talk about the same books. Not calling out your channel but it is lumped in. It's like the same info on loop. No matter who we watch. That's what's tiresome.

You have to be a special kind of crazy to trust a company, that can't tell a 9.8 from a 9.6, to grade 9.9s and 10s.

It’s definitely a competition for some people. That’s what the CGC registry sets are.
