Like what does that have to do with the function of the job? but i got 100% on the sorting and error finding parts and was still marked ineligble for honestly answering. @@SS-lr6lw I read their sample questions, then they explain why that answer was chosen for that specific question. Again, there are 10 steps you have read. Best 89 dollars I ever spent. You also have to set up a profile. They have a help line+live chat if your stuck on anything.

If you’re applying as an employee you’re supposed to be the biggest kiss ass suck up “team player” that never has any bad days. This test is so weird, no wonder the USPS is always hiring and saying they need people because very few people can even pass the test. So I live in Oregon and I was always getting papers in the mail saying we are hiring from the USPS and they would have a few job fairs every month so I decided to go and apply and I just the test a couple days ago, I just wish I saw this video before I took my test because I didn't pass. I got all the mail sorting and the check for error questions right but I guess that's all I got right. They say be honest with your answers but they really mean lie to us.

In many cases, these tests are built in a way that if you blatantly lie, it will be noticed. You want to research the company's values and you want to show the better parts of yourself, just like in any interview.
It DOES tempt people to lie on the next assessment. I failed and don't know how. Because I'm shy? Because I actually do my work and strive to do everything ask but don't always go beyond that? That's actually really good in my opinion. Because I answered the same question differently? Yes, they will put the same question up. I will have to be a tad more positive than honest if I take the assessment again. And the kicker is AI actually won't consider me for hiring. I doubt any HUMAN will even consider my application because of some weird psychological test
I failed the assessment. Then didn't even get a score. I don't understand how I failed. I mean I am more than qualified for the job. I am shy, but that doesn't mean I'm a horrible person or incompetant. I'm extremely disappointed and now have a bit of a grudge that a human won't even consider my application after AI won't give me a certain score.

Got an 84, but only thought to look this up after :/ I personally think the test is mostly useless, because aside from the personality portion, they can train you how they want you to respond to all the scenario questions. 🙄 There's a bunch of jobs avaliable in my area right now, so even if I don't get hired it's not a big deal. But honestly the position I'm applying for seems very suitable for the type of person I am. I'd love to get paid to sort things. I've played video games where I do that for fun lol.

After qualifying for the Virtual Entry Assessment, they gave me an appointment for a group interview (we were about 12), which was nothing more than filling out more papers with the same personal data that I had already given in my online account, and my fingerprints. But I was surprised that just before giving my fingerprints, the coordinator told me that I didn't qualify because I had not lived in the United States for 5 years (I am a legal resident and I have only been 4 years and 4 months) . l left a little upset and disappointed. A week later I received another email from the same coordinator giving me a new appointment, that they were going to send my job application regardless of the years that I explained before. So I showed up, gave my fingerprints, and was told to wait for a notice. Yesterday, 5 weeks have passed, and I have not received any messages. I don't understand why for such a simple position they take so long, it seems that they were playing hard to get, that makes me very angry.

That's really impressive! However, according to data from the United States Postal Service, 80%-90% of candidates fail to pass the test, which is why knowing the test's structure before taking it is important :)

I have a question, if you wish to apply for a Clerk/Sales Associate position, does that mean you would be taking VEA exam 477, or would they just randomly give one to you even if it isn't for the specific position you're applying for? Would you have to study all 474-477?

I think the test checks to see if you can determine what the correct thing is and then answer. I think it is also about the ability reason. What a joke of an assessment. I spent hours going through the applying process making sure all my information was correct and everything just to fail the assessment in the end. I answered all the questions honestly and realistically but it seems like the USPS wants their employees to be 100% positive happy go lucky all the time and always do more work than they’re expected to. Apparently being realistic and only doing the work you’re assigned isn’t good enough.

Honestly no job wants you to he entirely honest in these things. They want to see if you're a fit for that environment so if you're not it is within your best interest to lie if you want the job (or to reconsider).

Type in postal jobs at, then enter zip code. 5 different steps should. Come up. The 5th step is when you pay 89 bucks. I went through all 10 steps. Read each step carefully. I thought post office was the ultimate,, just got done reading a lot of bad talk about the PO from current employees. You can do it, just read what they give you. You need at least a 90 to be considered. 70 is passing, though. Good luck!!
They send you a link through email. Its basically AI not a human determining whether you have the right attitude for the job. I seriously doubt if any HUMAN will consider your application if you fail.

100% a scam.. They make you pay an initial fee, and then make you pay for the study prep packs. Never did they mention from the beginning that there would be another charge to actually study for the specific exam. Ridiculous.

This is a strange test. The answer options seem to weigh between (be efficient or pass the buck) It turns out that USPS prefers (pass the buck)
The expectation is different from reality. Before I apply for CCA heard a lot about poor management, overworked and underpaid. These are all true!!!

You can reapply since the test is valid for 2 years. You may have to redo the fingerprinting and drug test, however.

Go into your USPS profile, and click on "road map," look under the "assessment" section.

100% a scam.. They make you pay an initial fee, and then make you pay for the study prep packs. Never did they mention from the beginning that there would be another charge to actually study for the specific exam. Ridiculous.
