I’m a new beginner still learning how to use my camera 📷 also I had got a NEX7 $300 like Brand new with the 18-55mm Kit Lens & I wanted to know if the 16-50mm will fit on my NEX7 & work good for video? Then again I just might buy the Sony SEL35F18 35mm f/1.8 Prime Fixed Lens because according to TH-cam it’s one of the best lenses to get for the NEX 7
this or the sony 55-210 for image quality/zoomsz or tamron 70-300? I want something for events basically. might not have the greatest lighting maybe abit of sports
None of these lenses are particular fast and work best in good lighting conditions. Maybe you want to look into the 18-105mm F4? Unfortunately I cannot test this lens as I sold my Sony gear. In terms of image quality the 18-135mm was sharper than the 55-210mm when I had both lenses to compare.
i'm stuck between this lens and tamron 18-300 for my sony a6700... right now i just have 16-50 kit lens. i mostly shoot pet action shots and pet portraits. some video too, all mostly outdoors in good lighting. any advice?
Planning to buy 6700 but bit confused about choice of Lens. I use camera during trekking in Himalaya to shot nature and mountain peaks in particular. What would be best for me 18-135 or Sony G PZ 28-105?

These are two very different lenses. from what you told me I would opt for the 18-135mm, but ultimately the decision is up to you.

Go for the 18-135. The wide angle is a lot more useful for landscapes which are usually shot at f6-8. The G PZ is a lot better for portraiture.
Great video! I like your animal footage, where do you get it from?
Should i get this one or sigma 18-50?
Depends on two things:
- Do you shoot in low-light often?
- Does your camera body have IBIS?
A6700 have ibis? So 18 50 could get stabilization from a6700?
Good review .
Thanks!
i just find it new for 300 euros. by your knowledge, is there ever been made likes fakes of this sony lens?? seems too cheap to be true.
Not really. I never stumbled upon faked lenses, tho you may encounter scams when looking for more expensive lenses.
