So does it still have all the same features as a regular laptop, like the ability to run Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, etc.? Also, if you don't attach it to the keyboard, I'm guessing there's a touchscreen keyboard, similar to an iPad? I'm going to college soon, and this looks like it would be GREAT, because it's both a tablet and a laptop. So, I could just take the tablet off to class, but then use the actual keyboard when I need to type out essays and stuff.
1.) 0:22 It is no longer called "Metro" 2.) 1:18 You pronounced ATIV wrong, the correct way to pronounce it is Ah-Teev. That said, that is one sexy Tablet PC. Glad to see they were able to get it that thin with an x86 processor in it.
This is actually a well equipped tablet PC. ULV Core i5, 4GB RAM, and 128 GB SSD. The keyboard is also included and not a separate purchase. I got my hands on one earlier at a store and it is actually quite heavy even if it's plastic.
It is good for businesses, and what do you mean by "Good luck typing on that thing." ? The iPad (Which I have) is hard to type on too. If you have a lot of documents, and lots of power points this table will be useful. This tablet is not really meant for games and entertainment it is really for businesses that has a lot of documents, power points, etc.
It hasn't gotten an official name yet, Microsoft has just been calling it the Windows 8 UI. Microsoft can't use the Metro name anymore because a company called Metro AG (Metro Group) basically told them to stop using that name or they'd sue them.
Well you obviously know nothing about computing and the differences between x86 and ARM. Intel Atom is an x86 (x86-64) processor! I was referring to the processor architecture, not it's name.
OK, just stop replying. You're embarrassing yourself and showing everyone that you don't know anything about processors. x86 refers to a type of processor (its architecture), and that's what type of processor Intel Atom is. They usually use a lot of power and thus put out a lot of heat, so x86 devices tend to be big and bulky, which is why I said what I did in my first comment. x86 = type of processor ARM = type of processor Atom = processor name Core i5 = processor name

Whats the metro been renamed to ?
This is the final design, not a prototype. It was at the AT&T event a few weeks ago with the exact same design. It's not changing.
All of windows 8 devices consist touch...?

Didn't you saw this same version but including a keyboard? Is actually a full pc, but has no intel dual core procesor :'/ and 2GB of RAM...
Wow. First Samsung video without Apple-hating comments...
wow, no mention of the fact it has a dock keyboard and trackpad
I will wait until the ASUS VivoTab or the ASUS Transformer Book comes out.
I don't know why there's no price, no battery life (mentioned)
and no release date.
WTF
There r no release dates because Microsoft sets the bar, Microsoft has not announced windows8 release yet.
You work for a tech company and you haven't heard about them not calling it metro anymore?

If you stick with Windows 7, your programs will become outdated and existing files won't work. It's either Windows 8, Mac OS X or Linux.
It has a key board with it smart PC

I'll stay with Windows 7 until Windows 8 supports more software like iTunes, Video Downloaders, Etc.
For such a huge Tablet they cant even put in a FULL sd card in? no device on earth uses micro sd except phones.
windows 8 is gud but becuz they have made fr tablets nd non touch devices....things jave been messed up.....i prefer mac os ....no 1 comes to mac os
Windows 8 User Interface

I'll stick with Window 7.
This comment screams intelligence.
