My 229 action turned gritty and sluggish. I cleaned it out and reassembled, and it worked good for a little while then back to terrible action. I think I'll try ordering those skiff bearings for it

Great info as always. not on this knife, but do you ever change the bend on lock bar on knives when you take them apart?
