Wow! I remember seeing this episode in 1998! My mom and I had laughed over the years when we would discuss this campy scene with Annie taunting Reva. When Annie informs Reva that she's coming back for Joshua we see a Reva who is defiant in the face of death. Reva yells, "Stay away from him!" With her sinister demeanor, Annie, the psychopath replies, "Are you serious?! You're threatening me?!" This was classic soap opera drama at its best! Thanks for sharing!
Cynthia Wattros', Annie was definitely sacrificed to pave the way for Josh & Reva's umpteenth reunion. It made for good drama though. Annie was a complete trainwreck. Cynthia was incredible. She deserved that Emmy.

I know a minority but I could not stand Reva Shayne.To me the focus on the Reva Shayne show ruined it. I couldn't even watch it anymore
i'm glad to see cynthia getting love on youtube cuz she said in an interview that she was "pounded" by GL's fanbase for complicating the lives of josh and reva, and it was really difficult for her to endure it, and she grew concerned again when she took the GH role (i don't watch GH so i don't know the ins and outs)

Same here... Annie pushed Josh away with her lies and insecurities... Talk about a scorned woman...U can't force love so it's best to find another more rewarding love. Who wants to be a constellation prize knowing that person's ❤️ heart belongs to another... The one that loves the most hurt's the most when it's over.. I felt so bad for Riva and after the plane actually crashed I despise Annie with a passion. it's sad that they brought her back with another woman playing the part of Annie. It wasn't the same...I wanted to see Riva get her revenge on that particular Annie played by Cinthia Waldros. .I don't think I ever saw Riva back slap Annie...
Cynthia is a much better actress than Kim Zimmer and she completely upstaged her in every scene they were in. I can see why, if the rumors are true, Kim didn't like her. She was jealous!

The show became much more balanced and some consider the period between '91 and '94 some of the best years of GL ever! Annie was complex and kind- she was a great heroine until the writers trashed her character and turned her into a crazy villain just to give us the millionth incarnation of Josh & Reva. Cynthia Wartros was a joy to watch as Crazy Annie but I missed the realistic complexity of the original Annie.
That Annie Dutton was a crazy B. I felt so bad for Riva whom she caught off guard otherwise Riva would have wiped her across the floor. Josh was about to walk in on the mist of it only to be detained by Wanda the talkative secretary...I was so upset that she carried Riva off onto the jet plane to hell.
lol. The writers from "Days of our Lives" must have taken over "Guiding Light" during this period. Between this and the Reva clone story line things were much wackier than usual for Guiding Light. Seemed more like wacky "Days" stuff.
