- Frustrated players unable to purchase the Monty Python and the Holy Grail secret lair. Low run? or just huge demand that was not excepted combined with poor online service and waiting times to purchase of over an hour long. Then finding out they are now sold out.
So now you have to pay an arm and a leg to get these drops and Ebay has loads of them! Look at the prices!

Monty Python obviously has a large audience spanning decades.
And many of them are scalpers.

I am boycotting Magic the Gathering until I get my full set for $140! My first time trying to buy a Secret Lair! The non foil volume 1 and 2 are $29.99 each and the 2 foils are $39.99. I had all four in my cart for $140 and the payment would not go through!!! This was supposed to be on sale for almost a month and it sells out in 5 minutes!!! 😡🤬
This limited print run model is starting to anger many players who used to frequently purchase secret lairs but they have had enough. Now not bothering and refuse to pay 2 or 3 times the price on Ebay.
This will happen again...we have the Mystery booster festival in a box out in a few days. Plus the D&D 50th anniversary lairs the Monday after! That will be a nightmare trying to buy that one. This is all before most people get paid too.

Most of the auctions are from the US so if you happen to be in UK like myself or Europe the postage cost to get them to you on secondary market can be near as much as the secret lair cost originally.

These are the same F'ers who bought up all the 30 series video cards in 2020 and then marked them up on ebay.

What's annoying is that secret lairs aren't print to demand anymore, everybody was saying that this was going to happen
I hope they return to those days but how its going at the moment they just send it out asap, take the cash and start all over again with the next SL. No backlog and players waiting a year for the product.
@@CardboardBadger there's pros and cons to every system... but honestly, when you're one of the largest TCG and you have to do this to avoid an abysmal turn around? There has to be a way to do print to demand and not have a year long wait. Honestly I was fine with the couple secret lairs I had purchased back in the day, with the waits being only 1.5 to 2ish months long

@@2rare2die26 Zuran Enchanter from Ice Age was referred to as Jim but I am not sure it stuck because it doesn't seem very prolific
@aarondunn6759 back in the day, the prodigal sorcerers (and most other tap to deal 1 damage creatures) were colloquially referred to as "tim" by the OG player base. I didn't think about it before my comment is all.
I still stand by my comment that it is the wrong card to print Tim on
