My crestie doesn't care for snake plants, and I now have four grown up to the top of the two foot tank. I got two cause Lyra liked hers. Mine sleeps on a suction cup ledge on the upper left hand glass door every single day. It started out as a food platform that I only used one side of and since she has grown I put a board over it and got her a new single dish magnetic food holder to put beside her "bed". It's nice being able to see her all day.
Have you looked at the birds nest version of the tall snake plants. My gargoyle and cresty's love theirs. Wider and shorter than the snake plant but in the same family. Look like it, but wider leaves, and shorter and my tallest birds nest is 10 inches and 7 to 8 years old.
Nice to see the actual development of an bioactive Setup (most of the Time there are no follow up Videos - which would be the most intresting with bioactive Setups..imho) Also nice that you added a water bowl, i have a "double cup feeding station" where one is with food and the other is with water.. didnt tought he would touch it.. but i observed that every evening its his first Task to get there and drink the Water out of it.. i feel he already prefers that to drinking drops. Btw love your channel! :)
Thanks! Yes that's why I kind of wanted to do a follow up, as it's easy to make a tank look luscious and successful when you first set it up, but it almost always with take a bit of a hit, then come back - it's almost cycling like a fish tank 😂 So I figure it would be handy for people to see, even if it is a little wild lol.
Hi, I’m a long time follower of the channel and need to some help regarding my crested gecko. Around a year ago my crested gecko lost his tail at the age of 6. Unfortunately at the time I was away at university and didn’t come back for a good few months. My parents were caring for him in the meantime. However they didn’t handle him at all and he has become very nervous and aggressive around people. If I try to handle him he either runs erratically shows his calcium sacks or goes to bite me. I’m at a loss at what to do and need some advice. If not I may have to re home him to someone who can take care of him. He was very good at being handled before he dropped it tail never running or biting. Any advice you can give would be appreciated as I don’t want to lose him. Many thanks and all the best x
Crested gecko-wise, the poop gets eaten by the clean up crew, however if it ends up on the glass, feeding platforms, anywhere the clean up crew won't reach, then I will clean it. Leopard gecko-wise, I always remove the poop myself :)
@@leopardgeckotalk Thank you very much for responding! Mine is a crested gecko, I placed a few pillbugs and collembolas but they died rapidly (like died out within 1 month) what clean up crews do you use?
@@leopardgeckotalk To be honest I don't actually know hahaha, maybe what you feed him? ( although I'm pretty sure you have already done that ). Do you ever take I'm on walks ?

Awww haha :') Yeah I put a snake plant in my chahoua tank as I wondered if he'd be the same as Lyra, but nope, I've never seen him sleep in it.

Hi... I also built a big house for my gecko, I just want to know how did you clean its poop? and do you do that every day?

Hi can you suggest a leopard gecko bio active substrate?
Organic topsoil and playsand!
