  • A How To Guide to Gap Control. When Combine with Depth and Angle And Land Marks you create GAP CONTROL. effective for being in the right position for the right time to make the right save.
This video covers the visual cues we use for Gap Control on the puck and why. I give a run down of how it changes depending on the angle and place on the ice. If you add in Depth to this and how we change depth for different plays you can become more likely to make the saves you need to.
How a goalie should initiate their movement backwards in most case, but now all. The importance of moving while a shooter is coming in on you and how to adjust to changes in angle. It also covers on why you need to rotate while making saves and the SDZ (save Decision Zone).
I am making another video to highlight Angle Depth & Gap Control and How they come together along with how to AVOID CHASING SPACE !!

I’ll look into it. Thought it was posted, might have gotten lost in the injury interruptions. Sorry about that, I know it’s somewhere on a Hard drive

@@CoachJohnnyGoaltending No harm or foul, just found your video series very useful and was looking forward to it! Parts. 7-10 have been exactly what I've been needing to work on and help with, but dont have the language to talk about, so you've been tremendously helpful

Ahhh found the mistake on my end. Miss labeled it sort of, Episode #9 Depth is more Part #1 and this video Gap Control is more Part #2. Sorry about the confusion but also thank you for pointing it out. This error would have gone unoticed if not for your keen eyes and mind @cadedrummer
