It's awesome seeing how it was built from ground up, makes it even more impressive seeing how each piece is made. Fact: Each piece of track costs approximately $12,000 after welding, assembly, paint, and of course labor.
@@jonny-b4954 it’s not. That means there was exactly 2,500 track pieces in total if you do the math. (12,000 x 2,500 = $30,000,000 USD) plus with steel inflation, that number per track piece probably costs more now. Orion was built for the same price and is almost the same length as Leviathan which was built for 28M USD.
@@rokie.226 100 track pieces? Bro that sounds so ridiculous you realize how long the coaster took to built. 100 track pieces wouldn’t even be the full drop or barrel turn. I just said if you do the math $12,000 per piece of track • 2500 equals the total cost it was to build the coaster. Bruh, have some sense there’s no way they built all of Fury 325 with only 100 track pieces 🤣.
When I was going some where past carowinds I saw a truck holding blue rollercoaster pieces and I thought"are they building a new rollercoaster?"And it was the fury
I've ridden Fury twice, and I loved every second of it. I live about 35 minutes from Clermont Steel Fabricators where it was made! I've never actually been by it, but I just think it's really cool that a local Cincinnati business has a B&M contract. Also, with it being only a half hour from Kings Island, I imagine Orion and Diamondback only took a matter of a few days to get all the track delivered. Truckers can drive up to 16 hours a day with a 30 minute break, so that's a lot of trips! Cedar Point and back would probably only be 3 in one day.
in videos/ games the track looks so small, but in real life it is huge. From rail to rail, the track is 4 feet (1.2 meters) wide. I noticed especially on a wing coaster, where you are right next to the track. I’m still surprised by how huge they are in this video!
Bunnylover Smallworlds they would’ve started planning in about 2009, roller coasters take around 5 years from being first conceived as an idea to being built. The basic layout would’ve been finalized in 2013, after viewing the success of GateKeeper at Cedar Point.
God bless the men and women who can stand to work at those heights. I can barely stand getting up the climb hill with my eyes open.. let alone stand and dangle and work.. ty for those who can and do!!! 😂
I just realized something... I think Fury was made right next to where i grew up in Ohio. I used to live right next to a place in Batavia Ohio that made coasters but i moved away from there in '03 and it never occurred to me that a lot of the coasters i watch in these vids could have been made there. When the truck pulls out, you can clearly see the old Ford Transmission plant across the street and if you take a right and drive a couple hundred yards there is a large trailer park where i lived for 15yrs as a kid. Used to be called Southern Ohio Fabricators when i lived there but apparently not long after i moved, it was closed down and then later reopened with the name Clermont Steel Fabricators.
I just want a b and m track section piece to have as a lawn ornament. or try to weld up a scale size section myself for fun. Could you imagine a wrench that size falling on you from that height. Even a the bolts they use would kill you
Hey cedar fair, if you ever demolish gemini or magnum i am going to be very sad. Magnum deserves new trains. It is a icon and some nice trains with better restraints would make the ride far more popular. Maybe some new paint also.n
Wish B&M would build a giga or hyper in the UK and not america cause i think america needs to chill with the coasters and let England have some awesome coasters.

Fury is the best coaster I have ridden
I hope all these people love to ride on their works of art. Works of science and engineering, really.
Bolliger & Mabillard (B&M) is the best manufacturer ever!
B&M and Intamin are equally good. I personally prefer the Intamin layouts though since they're more intense most of the times.
ManyFacedBeast Agreed
1heavymetalboy true, they are the safest company which has 0 deaths or serious injuries on any of their coasters

I prefer Intamin

You are correct. B&M uses them as a steel fabricator.
