I remember back when it still had the old Borg theme to it. It was probably the best part of the whole ride unfortunately. When it opened the lines were absolutely insane. Hours and hours long when you could have way more fun just riding Top Gun (Afterburn) instead.
Nighthawk was the prototype Vekoma Flying Dutchman coaster that originally operated at Paramount’s (now California’s) Great America in Santa Clara, CA known as Stealth. It moved to Paramount’s Carowinds and renamed Star Trek: Borg Assimilator from 2004-06 and its name was changed to the current name in 2007 under Cedar Fair Ownership

Love the color scheme of Nighthawk but as you know the ride itself is a different story, lol. I'd love for us to replace it with a record breaking dive coaster or a "Steel Vengance Jr", lol
That's a different approach for a flyer, looks cool though. BTW , I bought my Six Flags Season Pass only 74 dollars going to Magic Mountain the 12th and 13th and Knots in May as soon as they announce opening day

Nighthawk to me is a bad but necessary coaster at carowinds. What i mean by this is it makes sense why its there and it has many reasons that it is bad, but also some reasons that it is good. While i dislike it i can see why someone could like it, the ride has intensity and a solid layout that really helps keep this coaster from being my least favorite of all time. I think the nausea factor was what bothered me the most, and add the discomfort and you get an unhappy guest in my experiance. That all being said I encourage you to ride this ride and form your own opinion on it as everyone in your group may think differently about it.

This is a great ride until you go in the middle afternoon, and have straight up sun in your eyes.

This is one of my favorite coasters. I remember when Carowinds was Paramount and this ride was based off of Terminator. It was green and black

When I rode this ride I loved it and hated it. Because, whenever you would go upside down you would be looking down towards the ground hanging on.
