Very good job downsizing your library! I think you were in a good frame of mind to say goodbye. I find that sometimes I'm more inclined to unhauling than others. 👍💕😊
Great job cutting out books! I’m reducing my book collection to ones I really really loved and would want to reread a lot and everything else can go. I also unhauled 6 more books last week! 🎉
I tend to unhaul as I read; if I didn't enjoy something, it goes on the unhaul shelf. I have some Harlan Coben on there, some classics and some historical fiction.
Wow, that's a lot of books! I've culled my bookshelves so many times over the last several years that I rarely have more than 2-3 books to unhaul at a time. Both a good and a bad problem, as it means I don't make as much room on my shelves.
I have been whittling down my collection of books because im also planning on moving this spring. I only keep 5 star books or books I'd like my daughters to read
I have been unhauling books lately. I went through my children's books and got rid of a few we haven't read lately. One of my sons got rid of several picture books as he wants more room for chapter books.
I did a unhaul back in October (was a multi area purge (closets, bookshelves, etc). And got rid of 20 plus shopping bags (of various sizes) full of books. Was pretty proud of myself for being so tough
We have to renovate our house and put in new floors, so I am planning to unhaul a lot, because I really don’t feel like moving them around. Also, I have decided I am getting annoyed with all the dusting. 😂
Excellent job! It’s easy to keep what you don’t have to move. Of my read books, I’ve decided only those that I know I’ll want to reread get to stay. There just isn’t enough room for all the books. 😢 well, unless you could live in a huge library, but my husband just cannot see how that could work.🤷🏽♀️
Usually sell them locally or bring them to my used bookstore or if I can't get rid of them that way I'll bring them to the thrift store or sometimes give them to friends.
Yay an unhaul!!! You did great! I usually unhaul as i read if it was a meh/didn’t like book/unexpected content. I'm already feeling like i would want to unhaul the Pickwick Papers but I'm going to keep it for now because i think i would like to reread it when I'm in a better mood for it (my mood has changed where i don't care what's going on but i want to finish it so I'm not as invested... and i think i would be at a later date😅).
I feel the similarly about The Pickwick Papers, curious to see how it ends! And I do some unhauling as I go too, these ones made it upstairs so I originally thought they were good enough to be here but my tastes change and I read better books so some have to go!
That was a good unhaul. That alone would have been a lot to move. Good job! I unhaul as I read. If it was five star I keep, otherwise it has to go immediately to make room for incoming, new books. ❤️📚❤️
Hey again Chantel, I know youve mentioned before that you don't ship the books you are getting rid of because of the price of mailing them to the States, but I'm just curious whether you would consider shipping them to somewhere else in Canada?
Hey, that's at least two boxes (depending on size) so way to go! While I do tend to unhaul as I read, I know that sometimes all I need to do is go through my books and really look at what is giving me the "mehs" and I discover others that can go. My goal for the year is at least 50 books gone and I'm down five or six as of the other day. Once Upon a Tome (liked but am never going to read again and don't have anyone IRL who will read it. The McMasters Guide to Murder (or something like that). It's such a beautiful book but despite having enjoyed it (probably far too much) and not liking parts (that I think were that way deliberately), I just... no. Can't recommend or loan it out so... bye bye. Matthew 24 Fulfilled--BORING. Repetitive. And entire pages (or nearly so) of all capitals for excessive emphasis. GAG. (hypocrite me uses all caps to emphasize her point there) Daughter of Eden (just couldn't handle the first chapter. It is supposed to be imaginative but it wasn't consistent and I could tell it would bother me. Sigh--Biblical fiction. Double sigh). Vinyl Resting Place (bleh) To Love a Viking (not sorry I read it but won't reread).
I find that all. The. Time. Where I like the first book, but the subsequent books fall short!! Why….😩

Yes, I can agree with that, some days I just want to get rid of all the things and others not so much.

Ha, I guess that's both a good thing and sometimes a bad thing!

I love that you got one of your sons involved in the decluttering as well!
You did so good!
From someone who has been doing awesome with unhauls herself lately, this is high praise!
thanks Krista!

Ahh, Christy Miller! What a throwback!

Haha, fair enough!
That was a ton! Still praying for your family!
Thanks Kris!
“I have high expectations for myself” 😂 same!!! Very successful unhaul💕
Lol!
The Help was a great book and movie.
Really enjoying your unhaul videos! 💛
Thanks Keisha!
You did a great job on that unhaul. Praying those foster kiddos get to go with you!
Thanks for your prayers!

Haha, yeah, living in a huge library sounds pretty good though . . . ☺
❤my favorite kind of video! GREAT job! 55 books!
Ooh, you counted?!
@@ChantelReadsAllDay heehee yep! #booknerd🤣
What do you do with your unhauled books? Do you sell/thrift/gift?
Usually sell them locally or bring them to my used bookstore or if I can't get rid of them that way I'll bring them to the thrift store or sometimes give them to friends.
What was the book you read similar to Willowbrook that was better?
The Lost Melody! It's mainly set in a Victorian era asylum, it made me so anxious in a good way, ha, if that makes sense.
I just unhauled a few books .
Great job!
I'm so impressed! I just want to keep all of my books, so unhauls are hard for me. 😂

That's a good method!
@@ChantelReadsAllDay Thank you. 😊
As an anti self improvement person, I really like The Happiness Project
Wow thats a big unhaul
Less to move!
Nice work! If I wasn’t moving there’s a few there I’d take off your hands 😂
Haha, the struggle is REAL!
Hey again Chantel,
I know youve mentioned before that you don't ship the books you are getting rid of because of the price of mailing them to the States, but I'm just curious whether you would consider shipping them to somewhere else in Canada?
It's the same thing, shipping a book even within Canada would cost $20-30, our shipping here is crazy.
Yeah, I get that 😊 I'll just have to keep an eye out for some of those books!
Hey, that's at least two boxes (depending on size) so way to go!
