Jeremy & George bought a 70 acres Ranch in Florida during Covid
They wanted a personal playground where they could keep living life when the rest of the world stopped
So they loaded up the gator and birds and make the long journey South
Then Jeremy & George went on a West Coast / Hawaii vacation
When they returned, many things weren't right
Marilynn and Elvis died
BUT now they were caught in George's truck

Back to full strength. It just didn't feel right with two pairs. The new head honcho is already impressing the ladies. What you need for avian security in Odder Creek is a pair of ostriches. They'll eviscerate any fox or coyote that goes for them. They'll even take out predatory dogs.
So happy to see Marilyn & Elvis have re-entered the building.

Great to look at, great for bugs and grasshoppers but the screeching or singing is very loud. Our neighbors had a couple till they were let out to run free. Predators got um....everyone shoots the bad guys but you just can't get um all. Lost my favorite moma cat to those sneakey Coyotes. Enjoy um !!!! So beautiful !!!! Luv your channel, yall get it. Cities are ok but the country life is just where its at.
Happy to see that the new peacocks are all getting along. I live in Central Florida and there's a house in the next town over that has multiple generations of wild peacocks that live on the property. So cool to see them free and wandering and roosting high up in the trees. They're so majestic looking, love them

We always used a long metal pole with a snallee hook on the end hook them. On the ankle. We used these a long time ago on the farm. So much easier

Hey J & G saw on another channel that if you put down wood chips in you coops that it will keep the odor down and when the chic;kens peck through the wood chips looking for bugs it stirs it up like compost and you don't have to clean out as much and it is good to use on the garden

Idea. Livestock water trough with a drain. Attach pipe to the drain leading out of enclosure to smaller shallow tub that's at a lower setting. Pump in shallow tub, goes to another shallow tub higher up with lava rock, and polyfil pillow stuffing, holes drilled just under the lip of third trough on the side over the livestock water trough. Birds would have plenty of water, constantly being filtered, yet always live.
Geese are excellent guards for your other flocks. They are always alert and when they go after an intruder with their necks stretched out and honking, I bet that any invading enemies would run for their lives. I would think about 5or 6 would be a great help. Another thought would be Great Pyrenees dogs. They are very large and friendly dogs. The stay outdoors with the ,animals and keep them calm as well as driving off any predators. One other thought would be a couple of llamas. They also are very protective of the other animals! These are some suggestions so you won’t be worrying about them at night or if you’re not there. George, you can do some quick googling and then you two could decide what is best for you.
