    'OXYTOCIN'
is een contemplatie, observatie , waarneming …
    Oude angsten ... Nieuwe gevoelens

    'OXYTOCIN'
    is a contemplation, observation, perception…
    Old fears...New feelings
Isabelle Beernaert's new performance is about Oxytocin. Oxytocin is also called the cuddle hormone that comes up with a touch, a caress, a hug, making love, a baby being fed by the mother; it's a substance we need to be happy. Creating a high dose of Oxytocin is accompanied by a feeling of confidence and the feeling that you are part of something and can be yourself.
At higher levels, there is a higher resilience to stress, addiction and anxiety.
In this year of quarantines and social distancing, the creation of 'OXYTOCIN' has emerged. A special year in which we were only allowed to live with a maximum of one hug contact in certain periods, strangers were no longer allowed to touch each other and sometimes even became anxious if someone came too close. This fabric was very scarce at that time and we felt it. We all long for a good dose of Oxytocin again without perhaps being fully aware of it.
    How do we handle this?
