May every light you hit be green, your pillow always cold, your food perfect, your body healthy and your mind at peace for this video. I love the length, the editing, the minimal talking, good camera work.
I will die on the hill that DA2 and Mass Effect: Andromeda had the best combat out of any Bioware game, so all this makes me soooo excited! It seems like the best blend of both. No more hack-n-slash button mashing, visual cool combos, character-specific squad powers, and helpful little 'on your left!' hints that makes the experience just that much more immersive and intuitive.
I agree on DA2 but I feel andromeda had a flaw in it combat that put it behind ME2 and ME3 and that is that since you can use every ability regardless of class that get a little nerfed and that fact that you cant drop the cooldown by reducing your weapons like in ME3. But I will say I loved andromeda and the gameplay was good just 2 and 3 suit my tastes better.
It looks so good! Also it's so funny to hear Davrin say "ballistas won't even scratch an archdemon" when that was THE easiest way to cheese the Archdemon fight in Origins 😅
Yeah, my HOF was spamming the Ballistas while my party dealt with the darkspawn heading nearest to us, and the dwarves were tanking at the archdemon haha.
i love Antoine and Evka so much ;_; although I was kinda cracking up at 17:15 when everyone runs to hide behind the table and suddenly Antoine's hugging his knees like he's been there for hours LOL
This is the kind of moment my HoF would have dreaded. Seeing the First Warden become so unreasonable when under heavy attack. I'm glad she would spend her days with Leliana than get mixed up in Weisshaupt politics.
That was puzzling to hear as well. I'm like Davrin what the fuck are you talking about. He also mentions the Calling is painful, but isn't the Call supposed to be just a song.
But the darkspawn aren't acting out of their own volition like in they did in previous blights, Ghilan'nain is controlling them somehow. Actually it is the reason they look so different, Ghilan'nain is doing something to them.
Thanks for posting this! Can't wait to play when it releases. Loved the banter during combat. I do hope there is a way to turn off the damage numbers in the UI.
I picked up armor after defeating a sub boss, and it was different to what I started with. If there is transmog, I didn't get to see it during our hands on time.
the devs had the playtesters skip around a bit within Act 1 from what they've said, loading up pre-made saves at certain sections to play certain quests. from what i understand, in an interview with Corinne, she said they almost thought about ending the game after this fight at the end of Act 1 because it felt like a good finale and then they'd add on later with DLCs - but they decided they had way more story to tell and they wanted it all in the main game (using Trespasser as an example, she said she believes Trespasser shouldn't have been a DLC in Inquisition and should've been part of the main narrative). i think this is going to be a pretty big game. 80-100 hours at least to do most of the content.
@@im_azraelle I love that they added what they’d consider DLC content to the main story 👀 Really hope they can work on DLC post-launch because this looks really cool.

First Warden sounds like he read too much of Grey Warden romance novels or something lmao. Dialogue is a bit weak in places, but the game seems rather atmospheric, while I don't like the visual design and cartoony direction, the lighting is really doing it's job to immerse you.
I am highly doubt First Warden will act that way, he is a political figure and so should be very competent and pragmatic, thats really a step down in writing especially after Duncan. It seems from DAI that Grey Wardens probably the hardest thing to write for anyone who is not Gaider lol, lead writers at least should consult with him on that topic

DA2 did have flaws in its combat, mainly the durability of the enemies and the fact that everything you do including taking potions has a cooldown
Nice to see a bit more of taash.
Everyone showing up during certain stages of the battle even though you didn't bring them was also a nice touch.
Reminds me of ME2 Suicide Mission. Not as detailed of course, but I like it when all party is on the mission.

Assan making cute sounds and all I'm doing is yelling PET THE BABY as you're idling lmao. I think 95% of my play time will be petting the baby.

“You call that nice and quiet!?”
I think I love this game already
24:02 Taash: Ballista'd be useful against a normal dragon.
Davrin: It won't even scratch an Archdemon.
Urthemiel: 😥

Finally, an animal companion you can pet
You were able to pet dog in DAO, afaik
You didn’t move tho
He just rolls over
Albeit that alone was adorable
Glad to see Taash! She's my favorite companion so far
I can’t wait to go to Weisshaupt in November, depending on my gaming schedule.
loved the interactions with taash and davrin!
the relentless wall is truly relentless, holy shit
ooh please post the mission with lucanis where you bust out of prison if you have it!!
I can't wait to go to partake in the Battle of Weisshaupt.
If there’s an archdemon. Then technically this is the 6th blight 🤷♂️

*everyone greatly approved*
Something tells me that if Solas had not imprisoned the Evanuris, Tevinter would have never existed
Yeah, the whole world would've been consumed by Blight. Apples and oranges...
My money is on the actual Tevinter magisters were the elven gods Solus sealed away.
5:37 the banter!
The haters are wrong about this game
24:04 also proof Davrin was not there to witness the archdemon fight in Origins

9:13 only the OGs will know this line
Me the second it played:
“Ah! Ah! He said it!”
This looks so intense! I can’t wait for this game
Just the weekend to get through now
Towards the end of the video there's an armor swap, does armor appearance not change or is it disguised by transmog appearance?
I picked up armor after defeating a sub boss, and it was different to what I started with. If there is transmog, I didn't get to see it during our hands on time.
The pre order and deluxe have "cosmetic armor and weapons" and I believe I hard about a transmog system in the game.
Great stuff , keep up the great work
Much appreciated
good vid but why no ult
GOTY game
Unfortunately it’s probably gonna lose to Astro Bot
Hopefully a contender tho
@@YoungMrBlue good enough for me
Its doesnt look like The companions basic attacks do any damage. It seems theyre only useful for combos. 😮
To be fair the companions in inqusition were only useful when switching to them. And they could die.
You got to level 30 in 7 hours? Or did they skip ahead?
