- In this video Olly Thompson shows us how to tie his favourite GT pattern - the Bangers Claret. Olly has had huge success with this fly during his time guiding on the various atolls in the Seychelles and gives us a step by step in his tying process.
Materials:
Hook: size 6/0 Gamakatsu SL12 (you can also use 8/0 SL12, 5/0 SC15 or 6/0 Tiemco 600SP
Thread: Veevus 100GSP or Veniard Big fly
Body: Red Buck tail, Claret EP craft fur brush 3 inches or Anadromous brush 2.5 inches
Tail: Natures Spirit Sturng hackle in red
Eyes: 8mm or larger
