Absolutely great advice! Your right about splitting cases being a major job. I had a cracked case on a 96 RM125 and I took the engine out of the frame. Bought a motion pro case splitter and just went to town. Rebuilt the transmission while I was in there and I'm not a bike mechanic! By no means I did this in my garage and learned so much from doing the job. The transmission cluster was not a lot of fun lol. But she was sweet when I got it back together
Right on. Yes, it can be fun if you have the time and the right tools with an OEM service manual, but it's no fun to have a broken bike from something that could've been easily prevented ;)
