he is right. Who does not want to be loved, forgiven and finding inner peace and home? I don't admire Bear because he was in SAS or on Everest or as a survivor and adventurer. I admire him because he lives in peace with Jesus, has a blessing family and firm belief that he will see his father again in heaven. Who can top that? I am 37 old, as an atheist, I used to mock Christianity and Jesus. After my parent's health declined I searched for help and I read that Jesus is always knocking on our doors. With full of skeptics, I let my guard down, my pride, and I asked Jesus in my mind if he is still knocking on my door and if he would please step in and forgive me and watch over my loved ones. I didn't hear a voice or see anything similar, but I finally felt that Comfort and Peace that I felt when I was a little kid and when my beloved grandma used to take care of me.
I never want to lose that again. I am a skeptic man of science, rational beliefs, but iI also KNOW that I want to believe in Jesus. May he guard over my parents and over my Natasha.

Brother. I was like that too. My skepticism is what kept me from God and my belief in him. I understand what you mean. Before I was saved, I didn't have hope or much happiness. I wasn't searching for happiness but an interest of the rapture made me question whether or not Jesus is real. I was born into Christianity, but I was lukewarm and didn't live for Christ. It took me many long weeks and hours of prayer for me to have that saving faith. I experienced many things that never could have happened by chance. I started to love and want to read the bible, which before I never wanted to do. I started to love God, to whom I didn't have any feelings towards. I had a deep guilt and remorse for my sins. I would excuse my own white lies before I was saved, now I have a disgust in doing such things and guilt for doing it. Not only that but I am more happier and have a hope. I after I was saved, I realized how sad I was after now feeling such a joy I never experienced. I delight in the things I never once delighted in, reading His word and worshiping Him. And now I hate the things I never hated, sin. New desires have been poured out onto me by the Holy Spirit. I couldn't imagine going back to the life I once lived, yet despite my doubts that I do have sometimes because of our falleness. I cannot deny the changes in my heart during that period of battling my unbelief.

    Romans 1:17
[This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”]
So live by faith not by feeling. Yes there are moments when you feel the love of God draw near. If you believe in Christ and accept him into your heart you are forgiven of all sin in your life. Christ is always in you and therefore with you. Live by faith. Seek God in his word. Ask him to refresh you with his Holy Spirit daily. :) To the skeptics, I too look at the stars, at our organic bodies that hold our souls while we're alive and the microscopic world around us. And I'm like whoa God is smart and loving. I hope to learn more in Heaven about this brilliantly beautiful universe. haha We are not made right by what we could ever do for God to make up for our sin. But we are made right through what God did for us by sending his own Son to die for our sins. Just accept Him into your heart and walaa you're going to Heaven. See you there and Jesus.

Great testimony from Bear Grylls!! Didn’t know that an ex SAS soldier could also have such a poignant and deeply spiritual side to his personality!!
Language would inevitably become transcendent and metaphysical!!
“We actually have a domain of deep language. When we fall into the domain of the deep language we are in the domain of the sacred”
We have this innate sense of literary depth. Some stories are shallow and meaningless, some stories are incredibly deep, poignant and meaningful, and everyone feels that and knows it with every ounce of their being!!
And everyone pretty much appreciates and accepts that. You experience it with music. You experience it when observing the beauty in nature and more so when you observe inner beauty in others!! Any art form or experience there’s shallow aspects and there’s deep aspects!! And deep aspects move you and they move you so deeply they have emotional resonance!! And they call to you and challenge you as well! They call you to a better version of your self!!

    • @georgedoyle2487
      @georgedoyle2487 ปีที่แล้ว

The fact is that Jesus of Nazareth using beautiful language, without money, weapons, armies or political power, conquered more millions than Alexander the Great, Caesar, Mohammed, and Napoleon; without modern biology, chemistry, physics or cosmology, Jesus Christ using deeply beautiful language called to more people, shed more light on things more human, more poignant, more divine and more beautiful than all philosophers and scholars combined!! Jesus Christ using the art of language produced effects which lie beyond the reach of orator or poet; he called to more people and set more pens in motion, and furnished themes for more sermons, orations, discussions, learned volumes, works of art, and songs of praise than the whole army of great men of ancient and modern times!! This is an historical fact!!

Keep strong. Dont forget that despite the struggles and madness in this world today, God is full of justice, mercy and love.
Justice said we broke His perfect law - causing the world's previous perfection to be
destroyed - and therefore we deserve Hell (like a punishment in any legal system but this is eternal as His perfect law is eternal too). Don't think you fit in that category? Ever done one of these?: lying, stealing - regardless of how small the object EVER, hating others - which is murder in God's perfect law, lusting (plus God sees our entire thought life). Justice says "the soul that sins shall die" - if we break one in thought/word/deed it's as if we're guilty of all of them. Quite simply, living by the law (which is doing everything perfectly) is impossible for sinful humans
. The law shows us that 1. We will die in Hell if we fail to follow it and 2. We cannot save ourselves BUT, 3. God's perfect, immovable law points us to Christ, who followed and fulfilled the law in thought, word and deed perfectly in our place. He did what we couldn't and did it on our behalf. He was then sentenced to death on a cross, and took our personal punishment for our sin, paying our penalty (like paying our fine) completely FOR us, and has given us freedom.
If we turn from the sins we have committed and repent (pursue the opposite direction of love through Christ) He will, overtime, recreate us back into that previously perfect image through The Holy Spirit which Jesus sends to all who accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior of their life. He will help us through the struggle, the stress, and anything we experience in the world. It's about letting Christ in to guide and teach you and obeying Him through His power (not ourselves, we need Him to help us as it's impossible without depending on His power and instruction).
He is our substitute in His life, death and resurrection. He essentially rewrote history in our place so that, if you believe in Him, it will be as if you had never sinned if you accept Christ's death as our own in our place.
He is in Heaven right now preparing a place for us so that He can take His faithful, believing children home with Him when He returns. He will ressurrect us from death when He returns, giving mercy to those who accept His love, instruction and teachings in their life, and give justice to those who refuse it.
He doesn't want ANY of us to go to Hell and die for continuing in evil and rejecting His way to life, thats why He died FOR us. Hes giving EVERYONE a chance, He wants everyone to take the free gift of salvation from Hell. He wants us to be His and begin to follow His life of love and service through His power and abiding (staying) with Him. So long as we keep our hearts near to Christ through His strength, strive to follow His will of perfect love revealed in the Bible, and let Him lead in the midst of (very certain) pitfalls and struggles, we will, in time, win the ultimate victory over sin, pain and DEATH through Christ. Even if you are willing to be made willing, pray for Jesus to come in and He will do what we can't. Give us The Holy Spirit who will guide us in the right way.
Christ says in John 16:33: I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]
    - (AMPLIFIED version)
NOTE: You are NEVER too sinful or messed up that God cannot turn your life around through Jesus. EVER. Regardless of what you've done or what you're going through you CAN make it through Jesus.
    Xx

Jesus had powers that no other man had , power of creation and manifestation , and healing , only a god has these powers .
    Jesus was god .
