Nice review, I own a non hybrid sport and I guess that a hybrid will be on my short list. After nearly 20 years of Suzuki reliability it will take something very good to make me swop. My car feels much quicker than the official figures suggest and I suspect the hybrid will be the same, she regularly puts the wind up more exulted machines. Very good on fuel as well, regularly get over 50 mpg on a steady run. Thanks again for the review 😊👍👏
Good job on this test. I own a sport hybrid and actually it is more quick than you may have noticed in your test. When the battery is close to be at full charge you can do the 0-60 in about 7,7 sec. Thing is this battery is gonna be most of the time driving this car discharged. But if you drive for some minutes in a descending road, charging the battery with the engine retention, then at the end try to make an acceleration and you will notice a difference in the acceleration response. You can search in TH-cam Swift Sport hybrid 0-60 and there are some videos about that.
Nice one Bex! It just goes to show that you can have spirited fun driving something that doesn't cost telephone numbers to purchase. The Suzuki Swift has had a reputation for a long time over many years and version as being a drivers car. I've not driven one myself but who knows if I can afford and justify a smaller car that is a hoot to drive that may well change. Your car reviews are definitely improving. You've come a long way in the short time of the channel, well done!
Good review. These are great little cars, i would recommend the Suzuki swift to anyone in whatever guise it comes in. I have bought the previous generation zc32s, and its so much fun to drive, my car previous to this was a 4.2 v8 and i don't miss the power, as the Suzuki is so much fun to drive. I could list all of the good points but it would take a while and I would sound like a fanboy, so I'll just say try one and see for yourself.
Good video! It would be interesting to see you compare the non hybrid to the hybrid Swift Sport. Used approved prices for non hybrid are around the £13k mark with around 30,000 miles on the clock, given Suzuki's reliability, "On a budget" the used approved non hybrid version seems like more bang for your buck even if the mpg suffers mildly from no hybrid system. The Abarth 595 compares to it but in terms of a PCP or HP deal over 5yrs, I'll take the Suzuki reliability over the more fun Abarth 595.
I agree with you - the video has me on AutoTrader and whilst I really like the idea of a fun "hybrid"... the standard 1.4 turbo is a heck of a lot cheaper.
If you go for an older one you'll lose blind spot monitoring, rear parking sensors, and rear cross traffic alert. You'll get a lighter, cheaper, and marginally faster car in return though. The difference in fuel consumption isn't even very noticeable. Suzuki mainly went to the hybrid to reduce emissions, not fuel consumption.
Great video. What I would like to add: the quality of interior will show after years and years. It will stay like new. Maybe the front driver seat starts showing some wear after 10+ years if you use it like you want to destroy it.
@@DrivingBex I mean it like some car reviewers will repeat every time that for example Suzuki uses cheaper (harder) materials but this Swift's interior will look better after 10 years then the average VAG product😊

Unfortunately the hybrid is ad the declared not more like the non hybrid that can have even 150 hp. However fuel ccnsuption is vero low

That's some great advice thank you! Will have to give it a go next time I am in one!
Suzuki swift is one of a kind masterpiece ❤ I have been using ZC11S 2006 model since 14 years and still running well 💯❤
Couldn't agree more!
Such a good looking car and I feel it's one that isn't spoken about anywhere near as much as it deserves to be! Great review as always.
It deserves more recognition than it gets!!
100%!

Very true! And thank you

I was a big fan of a original swift sport I'm glad they still kept it light
Great Cars!

The Suzuki Hybrid was great in terms of fun, but also the mpg and things like emissions if you're living in a city such as London!
If you go for an older one you'll lose blind spot monitoring, rear parking sensors, and rear cross traffic alert.

Like with many cars, just needs some care and the quality will stay like new for longer!

Great review x
Thank you!
Great review !! Would you recommend for a small family (3) ?
yes
Blind spot monitor?
All hybrid Swift Sports have it. In markets that never got the hybrid such as Australia and New Zealand, it was added as part of the 2021 facelift.
ميني كوبر الجديده
Swift has poor Ncap safety rating in india
This is not the same car and is built in Japan for southern hemisphere countries ,and also for UK models I think .
jdm version is 4 or 5 stars i believe
Yes. They build them cheap for India because it's a shit hole that's full of poor people.
