    Remember that it’s MORE important to tune into how you feel in your space vs. trying to follow all the tips one by one. If you feel good, then you will give your home great Feng Shui energy! Agree or disagree?

      If you feel good in the space - success, but if you feel something is off but don’t know what - consider Feng Shui and decorator “rules” for layout and traffic patterns, proportion, lighting, mixing decor styles, color scheme, etc. can suggest what is “off”

    Other problems associated with large pieces of artwork especially over the head is if you live in an earthquake zone. Many of these Feng Shui principles seemed to be aimed at good health, security and disaster Risk reduction. Practical principles.

      You can buy art hangers that prevent someone from stealing your artwork. In other words, a thief will literally have to cut the artwork out of the frame to steal it! Perhaps this has Feng shui implications; perhaps not. Hopefully Julie can comment on this in a future video.

    The dog disagrees with Feng Shui about the bathroom doors. She strongly feels they should never be closed. The sheer number of times she's broken into the bathroom to see what's happening in there (even when they're unoccupied) indicates that chi might not need to flow freely into the bathroom, but dogs certainly do.
    My husband is adamant about not putting anything heavy over our heads (in bed, on sofas, etc.) He's concerned about something going wrong and it falling on us in the middle of the night.

    • @JulieKhuu
      @JulieKhuu  ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Your husband is right on, the dog not so much 😂 But I get it, my toddler is potty training right now and these bathroom doors gotta stay open during this phase lol

      @Blue24Osprey ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @whiteserpent6753 Yes, indeed - all my pets have needed to patrol the house day and night, and one needs their upstairs water bowl placed on bathroom floor, so there's no problem leaving a pet sized space, keeping the door ajar, for them to come and go as required. Obviously, humans can lock the door when using the room.

    Merci Julie,
    I had terrible sleep with headaches for many years.
    Yesterday I reorganized my room using Feng Shui principles. First thing I noticed is that I could breathe better and no headache in the morning.
    Next step : the rest of the apartment, which I realized have a terrible chi.
    Your video motivates me ❤

    The light in an entry way resonated with me. Due to a design change with the original build my front door opens into a windowless entry area (foyer might be too fancy a word for the space). It has annoyed me for years, and I have finallly had a skylight installed there. The difference is amazing. It is light, feels airy and cheerful, and is much nicer to walk into.

    • @JulieKhuu

    Loved the final comments of doing what you can if the space simply doesn't allow good alignment. My split level entry is tiny and hard to create good chi, but keeping it neat and decluttered is very doable!

    • @JulieKhuu
      @JulieKhuu  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Feng Shui hates split level homes but that’s primarily what I grew up in SK. Do what you can with what you have. When you feel good doing your best, chi will follow 🙌🏻💫

    Pampas grass is extremely invasive on the California coast. I would say the negative energy placed towards that concept could actually decrease the qi in your house. Mentioning that might be helpful to deciding wether to glorify and encourage a market to grow pampas grass.
    However, I could see encouraging invasive stands of pampas grass to be taken as decoration would be beneficial for the environment.

    Thank you ! ❤ I am really happy I have placed furniture correctly in my bedroom and living room❤❤ I need to correct my home office ( back to entry door) but my desk faces the windows which I like because it's my front yard and I can see who's coming into the driveway and front door. And my dining room 🥴 its 10x10 and my table and chairs are 4x9. 😆 I thonk I found an udea for them in this video. Thank you so much❤❤

    It’s all very basic: good
    vibes begins with you: be kind to yourself (also
    in terms of physical, mental, and spiritual health), to others, do
    your part in taking care of the earth and mostly everything good will
    follow. Good and bad things happen in everyone’s lives (sickness, death of loved ones and our own, natural calamities, etc). I
    know several people who paid so much to have their homes “feng shuied” but still bad luck and unfortunate things that they believed and were told would not happen happened. Life is what you make it. Have faith in yourself and others, and if you believe in God, have faith in him (he doesn’t create bad luck).

    Do you have any suggestions for decorating above the bed? I have 12' ceilings and have two narrow prints of x-rayed flowers and am concerned about having them above my head (I don't have a headboard so I'm using them visually as a headboard if that makes sense).
    Thanks again for the video and I look forward to hearing from you.

    Miss Julie ..... you are looking soooo good ! I hope all is well with the Family and the little ones.
    I like so much when you do a Feng Shui piece. ..... I had these basic principles memorized by 1998 and also my ' good directions ' and my bad ones and all that LOL... it's still great to see these, because...as you know... Energies shift and change. Even when I want to rearrange my furniture and you know rearranged my books and objects I still try to keep all these principles in mind because as one wants to refresh a space, we also want to keep in mind about the Energies because even as we rearrange, one has to aware to not put something where it's not going to be beneficial to you, it will change the Energy and the Energizes do shift and change regardless ...so you don't want things to get stagnant either. ...It is about the " Balance " , as you have stayed previously. Thank you for another interesting and informative video ! 👏🏻🙂💙

    • @JulieKhuu

      Let the climate dictate when you open the windows Lori, even 10 minutes of cross breezes will help positive chi meander through the space. I’m in transition with my hair. It might go back to dark and long, I might chop it off again and try a different color, who knows. That’s the fun of it ☺️

What can I do to make the career develope more? A cure...should I out a specific crystal...or just make sure the toilet top is always closed and window as well...this one is a tough one 😊

      @Bruno Kalix,
      The key 'emotion' word, from your own mouth, is "worried". The word connotates 'anxiousness' hence, waking so early if you haven't intended to do so. Not very calming or restful, is it(?). Hope this helps. 💖🙌😺
