A couple of deal-breakers for me: the backs of the sofa chairs being exposed to the kitchen is a huge one for me, they'll get filthy in no time. It's also not a U-shaped kitchen, it's an L with a small island and the fridge is across a traffic pattern from the rest of the kitchen. I'd rather get rid of the island and run a cabinet down the backs of the sofas, making a true U open to fridge. Also don't like stove against outside wall and sink on inside wall, I'd switch them and ask for a larger window over the sink, even if it cost me above sink storage space. Second deal-breaker is shower surround in main bath. Obviously no one on the design team has ever cleaned a textured shower surround, but I have and I can tell you it's a nightmare, almost impossible to keep clean. Soap scum and water spots collect everywhere. And while I neither eat or drink in bed, raised side shelves above the bed would be absolutely useless to me. Also, at this price point, why is the washer/dryer prep but no installed W/D not an option?
Been waiting to see what the full bath in the rear of this unit was going to look like. We are not disappointed! Those high shelves over the bed are really bad for cpap users. If humidification is being used (and it usually is), it could drown the user. Also, I keep drinking water on my nightstand at night, so I agree, I'd prefer it weren't sitting over my head. I'd love it if there were a dishwasher option available, but I'm not adverse to hand washing dishes. Also, I read someone's comment here suggesting to delete the oven in favor of a dishwasher. Just incase that might actually be considered, I much prefer to keep the oven and forgo the dishwasher. My 2 cents for what is worth 😊
We just use the nightstand to hold our phones and books so it serves its purpose for us😊 Brinkley please start putting dishwashers as a standard. Be honest, you know your G models are THE RV for full timers. Either way, no one likes doing dishes by hand.
I like the look of the Brinkley’s, but the only good thing about those high shelves in the bedroom is to put pictures in. I’d rather have a queen bed and nightstands for CPAP machines and phones.
We just went to the Brinkley Plant in Indiana ,, we are going to purchase the Z2900. People there are very very nice , thank you Brinkley, can’t wait to get our Brinkley
Looking at the kitchen area, it could be in any home. Regarding the bedroom area, I think leave the existing shelves where they are and put small pulldown shelves on the wall next to the bed. That way, when not in use, the shelves can be folded up out of the way.
Like the Shelves high, and would add pull-down shelves. The full shower in back is nice, although I like the rear washer / dryer… dislike in mst bedroom for noise and ft pin weight; For a retired couple, a rear half bath in back is fine. I’d agree on needing a dishwasher… my main suggested change: remove oven since microwave can serve duty as oven, replace oven with dishwasher, install Inductive Stove top 2 burner and Gas stove top 2 burner next to each other. The addition of Full Paint is beautiful, not sure on cost of option yet but it adds to the beauty of Brinkley.
I like the nightstands where they are. We had a trailer with the lower nightstands and we took them out. They always got in the way. We don’t take coffee to bed, maybe a water but we would have that in a water bottle. What I don’t like is the bed shades.
Keep the fresh ideas on floorplans coming! My favorite part of this floorplan is the living room with that L or U-shaped couch facing a big screen TV. Just amazing stuff! I'd like to see a bigger main bathroom for us couples who plan on full timing and those other brands who have a HUGE closet in the bedroom is something my wife LOVES.
Lower positioned night stands is my vote. A simple flip down ledge would work, or make a portion of the lower window trim into a stealth flip down/up table so that bed size doesn't need to shrink
While we aren’t in the market for a toy hauler (and never will be) I can appreciate this rig for sure! Great job, Brinkley! Not only does it look so good on the outside but the fit and finish are awesome!
Finally a tour of a 3970!!! I was trying to show my wife this unit 2 days ago. The 3950 already got her wanting to go full time again, but this is just that much more suitable for our needs!
Great video JD! After reading a few comments, I think you are in the minority as to drinking coffee in the bedroom. I only use the nightstands to charge my phone. My 2021 Keystone Montana 3781RL had the nightstands that protruded over the bed, which I know you don't like, so I removed them. The top of the bedroom window valence makes a perfect "nightstand" for my phone.
I really love Brinkley RVs. The one thing I would change is removing the message in the recline sofa and add the motor to make them power recliners. I spoke with Brinkley at a show when they first hit the market. I asked why their recliners aren’t powered. They said that each component (motor) needs an outlet (ie..Message and Heat) therefore, there isn’t enough outlet space for the power recliner. That being said…most message units in any chair / sofa are pretty useless. They don’t really message they mainly just vibrate. I would rather have the power recliner. Also, is it possible to switch the motors to a power box for all three options (Heat, Message & Power) then there would only be one plug. Just a thought. Thanks for the review on the Brinkley JD.
You could always get one of those desks which slide from the end of the bed. For coffee, get some work done or just generally take a break. You can get creative. It's a nice unit. Thanks for sharing.
Great review of a gorgeous Brinkley. I hear a lot about the prices but if you purchased a 45 foot rv (plus tow vehicle) with these qualities you would be spending double your would on a Brinkley and a new Dually truck. Love this company and hope to be a Brinkley owner one day.
I love the Brinkleys and am considering trading up to one from my Grand Design, but when you get to this price point the word "prep" should be replaced with equipped.
We have an early model 3100. I love that the side windows in the bedroom slideout of this unit have the option of opening. In mine it is a solid pane of glass which creates a stuffy bedroom on a warm summer night. The one window that is provided is not enough and there is no cross breeze. This should be standard in all models.
Been Looking at RVs & reviews for more than 8 years. I am a full timer, that’s very much in love with my Rv, which makes it hard to upgrade to a bigger one. BUT this one is fantastic. The tv placement is the most efficient place for it. Love the lighter tones but not really a fan of the Light gray, but it suits & complements the outside colors as well. Definitely one of my top pics. 🎉❤ BTW JD. Thanks for the slower camera pan arounds. Does make my eyes and head take in the view better. Love your channel. 😊😊 Michelle Greenville Fl. Party on 🎉🎉
Nightstands!!! Many rvers use cpap. Those tray shelves don't work. Plus, there's a little more storage with a nightstand. Love Brinkley. My daughter has one. I am waiting for the Super C model on the freightliner chasis. I am hoping Brinkley will roll one out soon! Please! Hint, hint.
I wouldn't put a cup of coffee up that high, when I drink anything I will normally go to the kitchen or in the living area so that wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, I don't know if I would ever put anything up that high over my head, but I love this floor plan I wish I had the money today I will be all over this.
First I don't know anyone who drinks hot coffee in bed, but those shelves above the bed r useful for a capa machine. I like the fact the keystone does it in some models as well. Must campers with those small selves at the end of the bed don't fit capa machines.
This is just gorgeous. Dream rig and I don’t even want a toy hauler so how does my brain work? I really like smaller u-shaped kitchen and that table instead of a dinette or table and chairs. Much more reasonable use of space. A living room with multiple recliners even if you can use all of them at the same time is better option than others out there. For the bedroom, a big bed is more important than side tables. My tables must hold cpap machines and if the shelf is overhead and sized right (a lip even better) I can work with that. My side table also had a fan and I guess a clip on one would suffice. I just need air to move. My phone in the RV ended up staying on the mattress because table was too small. Would never have coffee in bed but water is a must. But it can be a sealed bottle. I love all the lighting and the cabinet being on an angle. Overall just beautiful
This is a nice van,me as a full time with wheel dweller am not concerned with the outside ascetics and the high nightside shelves not practical except for phone,so 100percent with U on that one.
So far no RV builder has made a night stand or shelf that is actually larger enough to hold a cpap machine. They take up more room than many people realize. The showers in this unit do not cater to those who need to sit in order to bath or the ladies who prefer to sit so they can shave their legs. That little so call bench is the main bath room shower leaves way to mush to be desired. The kitchen is ok in this one. Brinkley should take a look at the Riverstone Legacy 442MC and offer a rv like that one. Adding porches would be nice as well even if the unit is not a toy hauler
@0:50... YES! Finally, real full body painted slides. I really wish Brinkley would make a TH with a small under bedroom garage, like the Grand Design 376TH. I need a small garage but don't want to give up living space. I'm about a year or two from transitioning out of my motorhome and into a TH, so maybe they'll have one by then. I'm shopping in the up to $200k range. @10:30... Maybe the queen bed option should come with low nightstands?
I'm a bit mixed on the nightstand thing -- the positive is that its using the z-axis to get additional space in the floor plan and I can really get behind that. The downside, as a CPAP user, its kinda like the 'CPAP stations' in a cabinet above your head you see in some other units, its clear the person who put those there has never used a CPAP. You want it lower than you so when you get rainout it flows back into the reservoir instead of trying to drown you. Not a Brinkly owner and not really in the market right now so take it for what it's worth.
And still would like to see something to split the kitchen from the living room in respect to where the couch is the dividing object that literally “touches” the kitchen as it’s the first object there. But an absolutely amazing floor plan though
Ok so 2 things jump out at me… 1. (Thank you rainy day for showcasing this perfectly) The main entrance needs to be shifted to the right so it’s completely under the awning. Otherwise, not only are you trying to get in the door with your stuff while it’s raining, but also while it’s running off the awning too! 2. Bed Side Tables, not above curtain shelves. Why do I want to hunt down my drink/pills/phone/alarm clock from multiple feet above my head?
What I really liked with that 2nd bathroom was the window. This is a really nice toy hauler and I'm not a huge fan of them. I like this one. I have a question to those here that have the dual paned windows in Texas. Do they really cut down on the heat in the summer? Thank you. One more thing. Brinkley in my opinion is who started this new wave of rv. They actually listened to people who like to camp out and these new rv's are really getting more to the liking of the people.
It does need a lower nightstand by the bed. You could put a cpap up above--but to your point, it's not a great option if you're grabbing a book or that hot cup of coffee.
As I'm sure many RV buyers these days are getting up in years, I'm surprised that MFR's aren't addressing things like ADA-compliant showers, and/or taller/elongated toilet seats. I would order a unit with those options were they available.
Brinkley is still learning. Glue on slide out facia on inwall slides Glue on inside window trim Makes them unrepairable without replacing facia Fine under warranty. Added expense later on. Common issue with luxury brands. Looks good but hard to repair without new trim
As someone with a CPAP machine, I would love to have the nightstands next to the bed...not above it. OR... if you're gonna have shelves above, put the outlet up there to plug the machine in and make the shelf about two inches wider so the CPAP fits there. PLEASE....
Definitely would like a shelf or at least a space to place something small on next to the bed. Then leave the shelf above to hold other things, but No beverage on that top shelf. A spill will happen at some point.
Beautiful rig, but I don't like the night stands up high. I keep my glasses and phone on them and that's way too inconvenient. Also I never liked the awnings that extended straight out on our 5er. They are essentially useless for shade and rain coverage, and too high to reach to adjust the angle.
I would remove the night stands from above my head and attach them to the trim with a mount below and a free hanging "T" shaped tongue in groove style metal piece that can sit into a bracket on the same location as the trim. Im not sure how to explain it, but its like a bike kicstand except it rests in the wall and not the ground and the bike is the nightstand piece.
Double cut and buff, love ya man.Luxe it is not, thst referance well how much did they give you to say that.. Fit and finish is better thsn alliance by a bunch, however I have been on three of them and found fit and finish issues on all of them, warped wood spacificly and gaps that should not exist. True that needs to be said because this is a true statement..They do have some cool ideas also true.
That full body paint looks sooooooooo much better than the decals. Still not a fan of the esthetics tho.... In regards to the nightstand. I like them up high. My DRV has the ones that come off be the end of the slide next to the bed with a little cubby in them and the wooden window valance can be used as a nightstand too. My phone and watch and asthma inhailer always end up up high on the valance and the one on the side of the bed is empty. I just wish i had USB power up there.... A few other notes.... Personally i am also not a fan of the drawers in the underbed storage. The stuff we store under ours, backpacks motorcycle helmets, off road motorcycle boots etc would not fit in a drawer. Also not a fan of the closet in the bedroom. It looks unfinished and not a lot of shelf space. Ill take the cedar lined one in my DRV all day every day.... just like the outside i'm not a fan of the interior aesthetics either. The grey and gold just don't do it for me. The comment about " if you were considering a Riverstone or Luxe" made me laugh. If one was considering an upper end unit like those two i doubt they would be shopping for a mid market cookie cutter unit like a Brinkley..... The Brinkley is a fine unit but someone shopping in the semi custom to full custom market isn't going to really be interested in a cookie cutter type unit, they are shopping custom because they want specific things you wont find in a unit like a Brinkley. I know when i bought that's right where i was. We considered Luxe, Riverstone, DRV and New Horizons. Ended up in a DRV for a host of reasons. Mid market units like GD. Alliance, Brinkley, etc were never even in the conversation for us because as i said we could not get the things we wanted in them.
Looks nice. I sure hope Brinkley has figured out an actual fix for their junk frames that keep breaking. The first fix was basically to bolt a board on the outside of the rv from the inside. Makes sense for what these cost. 🙄
Hard to find something wrong with a Brinkley, but you found it. I like a little nightstand level or just below matress level. This model use to be our favorite & almost bought. Glad we didnt, cause ther 4100 just released...is to us a better floor plan. The 2nd 3 piece bath is cool and has great bragging rights, but would rather 2 piece & bigger garage.
My niece bought this model. They sold their house to travel. Broke on their first trip. Spent months waiting on repairs. Not impressed. Just heard the whole story from my brother-in-law
Everyone says it wrong. Its not 3 air conditioners with heatpumps built-in it’s just called three heatpumps. The unit on the roof is called a heatpump. If it only cools its called an airconditioner
When I'm getting up to make a cup of coffee, I'm definitely not going back to bed to drink it.
I take the whole carafe back to bed.
@wut2dew we don't bother getting up- just plug the coffee maker in next to bed. 😅
Saying "my good friend" and then asking his name comes off a little fake. Just a little.😂
Yeah I caught that too!😂😂😂
@@buzzbuzz5724 We all have a brain fart every now and again.
Josh was surprised 😂
You guys misrepresented lol. He volunteered Josh as josh said josh lol.
He probably just met him and hit it off really well.
Yeah agree. Maybe an attempt at humor?
Nice rig. As far as the high shelves on the side of the bed, give me nightstands anytime. I like to just be able to reach over and pick stuff up.
Agreed, brinkmanship, not trying to put hot coffee ☕ up high

I do all my own dishes
I would agree with this
Finally the toy hauler I have been looking for where you can make the back into a senior citizen bedroom with bath.
I like the look of the Brinkley’s, but the only good thing about those high shelves in the bedroom is to put pictures in. I’d rather have a queen bed and nightstands for CPAP machines and phones.
lower night stands, I agree about the coffee
We just went to the Brinkley Plant in Indiana ,, we are going to purchase the Z2900. People there are very very nice , thank you Brinkley, can’t wait to get our Brinkley
Must say as someone who has been looking for a while in anticipation, I'm excited for you.

The addition of Full Paint is beautiful, not sure on cost of option yet but it adds to the beauty of Brinkley.
We own a 3950 and we love it. We use our elevated nightstands every night, so they’re effective and do the job.
I like the nightstands where they are. We had a trailer with the lower nightstands and we took them out. They always got in the way. We don’t take coffee to bed, maybe a water but we would have that in a water bottle. What I don’t like is the bed shades.
Agree about the comment for the nightstands. I have my water, phone, iPad and glasses so doesn’t look lIke there is much room for all that.
Keep the fresh ideas on floorplans coming! My favorite part of this floorplan is the living room with that L or U-shaped couch facing a big screen TV. Just amazing stuff!

Yes, finally!!! This is the model I've been waiting for! 🥰😍😘
Lower positioned night stands is my vote. A simple flip down ledge would work, or make a portion of the lower window trim into a stealth flip down/up table so that bed size doesn't need to shrink
I agree about the nightstands, but like the shelves over the windows as well. Great place to put plants and such.

I like the bedroom shelves just the way they are in my Z3100. I use the extension shelf for my CPAP. The high shelf keeps it out of the way.

Very nice if I had a piece of property with all the necessities, water, sewer, electric, this would be a great “house” for that property!
I have a Z 3400 and I would prefer a night stand which you get with the queen option. We do use the selves, but they are clunky.
I wouldn't put a cup of coffee up that high, when I drink anything I will normally go to the kitchen or in the living area so that wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, I don't know if I would ever put anything up that high over my head, but I love this floor plan I wish I had the money today I will be all over this.

I'm a bit mixed on the nightstand thing -- the positive is that its using the z-axis to get additional space in the floor plan and I can really get behind that. Ok so 2 things jump out at me…

2. Bed Side Tables, not above curtain shelves. Why do I want to hunt down my drink/pills/phone/alarm clock from multiple feet above my head?
I would agree this looks better than my 5th wheel - but it is double the cost. I am certain (for me) this does not look twice as good as mine.
100% need to have the nightstands at the sides of the bed! Preferably with doors and small storage space/power options. Thanks!
Yes, I want the nightstands off the end of the trim, not above my head! I think they sell them optional, correct?
nightstand looks perfect for a CPAP.
Agreed on that, but would be nice to leave them and also have something at bed height. I've added bed height shelves.
For me the over head night stand works out for my cpap machine as long as an receptacle is near by.
I keep my glasses and a drink beside my bed, so a lower bedside table would be better.
Brinkley is still learning.
Glue on slide out facia on inwall slides
Glue on inside window trim
Makes them unrepairable without replacing facia
Fine under warranty. Added expense later on.
Common issue with luxury brands. Looks good but hard to repair without new trim
I wonder if they could come up with a sliding door for the garage bathroom so it won’t interfere with the TV?
Is Brinkley going to put independent suspension on any of their models?
As someone with a CPAP machine, I would love to have the nightstands next to the bed...not above it. OR... if you're gonna have shelves above, put the outlet up there to plug the machine in and make the shelf about two inches wider so the CPAP fits there. PLEASE....
Definitely would like a shelf or at least a space to place something small on next to the bed. Then leave the shelf above to hold other things, but No beverage on that top shelf. A spill will happen at some point.
Personally, I don't see a really good place for a nightstand. Those sides are pretty tight !! But that's a beautiful rig, interior, exterior ❤
Is there anyway to put the washer/ dryer in the back? Like instead of the shower, could you put it in there?
Not a fan of washer/dryer in bedroom
I would not like reaching up for my coffee
Those heavy tri axel monsters have alot of wheel scrub , get ready to buy buy buy tires
Beautiful rig, but I don't like the night stands up high. I keep my glasses and phone on them and that's way too inconvenient. Also I never liked the awnings that extended straight out on our 5er. They are essentially useless for shade and rain coverage, and too high to reach to adjust the angle.
I would LOVE for Brinkley to make a Super C and compete with Thor's Magnitude/Omni, Brinkley knows what they are doing. Ford chassis of course!
@carlosandrade7439 I want Brinkley to make a Super C as well. But, I want it on a freightliner chasis. ;)
love the L shape sofa
Amazing trailer brinkley is incredible. Biggest flaws the night stands where do I put my c pap machine 🤔
I don’t drink or eat in bed. Also, Brinkley really needs to have a dishwasher in the kitchen. Riverstone is just ahead of them in my opinion.
@@AlwaysForwardBBQ Dishwasher is your metered water usage, predictable…
@@billdumanch6237 ?
They have an option for a dishwasher under the sink. It's already prepped with an outlet.
A king for a queen. Sorry
Nightstand Down
Coffee, drink , phone and CPAP
Hard to find something wrong with a Brinkley, but you found it.
I like a little nightstand level or just below matress level.
This model use to be our favorite & almost bought.
Glad we didnt, cause ther 4100 just released...is to us a better floor plan.
The 2nd 3 piece bath is cool and has great bragging rights, but would rather 2 piece & bigger garage.
Cool
My niece bought this model. They sold their house to travel. Broke on their first trip. Spent months waiting on repairs. Not impressed. Just heard the whole story from my brother-in-law
Wow that is beautifully done, love the new style. Love to know the price tag on her. Thanks for sharing
I would prefer them on the sides even if I have to sacrifice a king for a king. I have the idea it all about convenience.
Shelves next to bed. Nice size do not need toy hauler. Another bedroom would be nice.
I think I’d prefer the nightstand down low. for charging your phone @ night.
Personally I would ditch the extra bathroom and add to the living space, but that's my complaint with all toy haulers
Price o.n this one
The high " night stands were originally planned to hold a CPAP machine. I'd prefer to have a queen bed with real nightstands.
Everyone says it wrong. Its not 3 air conditioners with heatpumps built-in it’s just called three heatpumps. The unit on the roof is called a heatpump. If it only cools its called an airconditioner
You left off info on the fridge and the pantry
As for the night stand issue, I need the night stand down low, as I use a CPAP. If you use one you know the reasons!
Night stands are fine where they are.
But I love the living room. I would rather they not do the shower in the garage amd have preped it for washer/dryer combo
It is in the 3950.
I have never had coffee in bed
@@billhofman5075 I prefer it in a mug, personally
Definitely night stands, I need my phone & watch within easy reach. Those side windows on the bed slide look like they open, is that new?
