Today I will be sharing with you 10 secrets to master long wearing transfer foils with a full coverage transfer every single time. Transfer foil, whether you get it from Daily Charme or others, is weird. I had done a beautiful transfer design on myself, but about a week later or so, my nail art, specifically my foil transfer art, began lifting like crazy. So I saw this and said no way you have to wipe off the sticky layer of the transfer gel. I went and tried it and OH BOY, I wish I could paste the result I got!!! It’s the most perfect foil adhesion I’ve gotten in my 3 years. I used Bluesky transfer gel and I teared up a little 😆

Totally agreed with the wiping of the glue with alcohol wipe. Earlier I did a few foil nails and it didn’t stick on. I tried one and wiped off the nail with alcohol wipe and used the foil on the nail and it stick. The stickier it is, the easier it is to apply. I’m new to foil and gel press on nails. So excited for the tips that’s why I’m here. 😄

Omg. You saved my life. I had so many problems with foils. And always thought the sticky layer was key. When I used your method to wipe the sticky layer off and then foil BAMMMMMMM it was a perfect full foil transfer.

Omg! I specialize in soft gels and I'm known for gels lasting months. I could not figure out why the folks were lifting off in whole chunks! I tried so many foil gel brands, hard gel the foils over, super glued the edges, nothing would work. I even layered the entire thing in resin and still the same problem! Thank you for this tip! It'll go back and try this on myself.
How did you go with this? I just tried wiping the sticky layer off and it didn't help the foil adhere better.

This video just saved me 30$. I have two bottles of uv foil glue but I could never get a certain set of foils to work. I’ve had them for a year now and literally just tried rubbing off the tacky layer of the glue and the freaking foil worked!!!!!! So thank you!!!!!

Thank you for the tip about wiping the nail after the foil glue cured because I use imethod foil glue after watching a review and it works pretty good better than others I tried but that tip made my transfers even better. God bless

Hello! Love your stuff! I usually use a clear rubber base gel because my nails are thin, I’m wondering, would you apply the foil before or after the rubber base?
I don’t do my nails cuz I work with horses but I do use them with RESIN! So this helps me out too! Thanks 🙏

The best one I used is the one from "Markatt"
It was perfect. Worked every time!
But over time I developed an allergy towards nail products.
I'm allergic to Hema, Di- Hema & Copolymer Acrylate...
& unfortunately Copolymer Acrylate is in the transfer gel.
I still have a full bottle...it's so sad.

Maybe the wipe off tacky layer tip depends on the brand. I did the trick with Ejiubas nail foil gel and the foil wouldn’t stick at all

How long should I cure in a LED/CCFL lamp? My lamp takes 20 secs for colour and top and base. 30 seconds for really dark colours. I can't work out how long I should be cutting transfer gel in such a powerful lamp
My mind was blown at tip #2. I've always had issues with a spot or two being too sticky or slippery that the foil either wouldnt stick or would be splotchy. For wiping the foil with alcohol does is matter whether its 90% or 70%? Thanks for this video and giveaway!!
So only if you are using foil gel wipe off tacky residue. You can wipe off foils w/ either 70 or 90, because you are going to use just a tiny amount :)

My only problem with transfer foil is the topcoat part. Pieces of the foil always get picked up no matter how I do it

if your nail polish is completely dry, yes. So like the next day.
I always get acrylic nails and gel polished finish. When I came home I decided to put on nail transfers. I cured the nail adhesive and put the transfer in wonderfully. However, when I went to put the top coat on the brush hardened and the topcoat started to get clumpy. Any ideas what I did wrong?
Question, can you use this foil transfer gel on the natural nail??? I don’t want to have to have perfect nails to use
You need base gel. Or if you do not use gel, regular polish base and just let dry completely. Then use your transfer foil gel... which needs light curing.

I have never purchased a set of foils that didn't come with "nail foil glue" and have never had to wipe off a sticky layer before applying the foils
I have these square foils. But they will not transfer. With base tack cured and left on ...
I know this video is a little older but im having trouble my top coat over the foil glue gel. In the negative spaces that I didn't apply foil there is what I know as a fisheye effect. Its as if the top coat will not adhere to the foil glue. I was told to try giving the foil gel a wipe with alcohol to take some of the sticky layer off but it still happens. It acts the same way it would if you were to apply a top coat directly over base without taking off the sticky layer. Has anyone else had this issue? Any tips?
what products are you using?
@@PaolaPonceNails Makartt foil and foil glue 😔 Gershon Polygel, makartt glue and foil and Gershon top coat. I've tried a couple other top coats as well but it does the same fisheye effect. Super frustrating...

Will a base gel work to apply foil?
Yes... but you will have to trial and error, and if you want a FULL transfer... you will still have to resort for foil gel anyways.

For this technique you need transfer foil. Not sure about laser foil?

@@PaolaPonceNails thank you! I have another question.. I just recieved the tranfer foon and everything is perfect but then I applied acid free primer on the edges and when I applied matte top gel it bruined the whole design on the edges. It became white. Why is that?
Just use the tiniest amount of bonder, almost on the underside of the nails.

Using these tricks made me go from a decent but annoying application, to foil not sticking at all, and wasting my time/product. Ugh.
