    I loved your video with Jacob recently! I've been a member of the academy for more than 2 years now, it's the only place to be for serious improvers and I absolutely love it!
    For those who know some chess history, you may have heard stories about the old Soviet school of chess and the legendary training camps they did in person with the likes of Botvinnik, Dvoretsky and Yusupov etc. Well, believe it or not, killer chess involves pretty much the exact kind of decision based practical training they would have been doing back then! To be able to do all that from your own home, whilst in the company of such nice people is incredible.
    I'm an adult improver who previously couldn't calculate his way out of a paper bag, and yet now I'm able to hold my own against titled players on the rare occasions I actually get to escape work and play. I constantly have classes to look forward to, tasks to keep me more disciplined/motivated and I'm just really happy to be a part of it 😊

    Goo intentions but sadly out of reach for most men who do not have money from father or high income work life, business etc.

      Agreed. Way too expensive. My guess is that's how they want it to keep student count low and manageable.

    • @journeytograndmaster
      @journeytograndmaster  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      But what is not expensive then? It's like 10x cheaper than getting a coach

      @@journeytograndmaster I appreciate that you are helping men through your channel to enjoy this very satisfying game but I hope you understand that while men of all ages are drawn to chess for mental stimulation or just enjoyment, the expenses for it are limited to what they can afford. Most men cannot afford to waste much money on this unless they pursue chess as their income stream.
      Most of us do not have father's money or high income earning. So spending is prioritized for food from animals, other groceries, home life. Chess is the mental and entertainment hobby while spending for it can only be moderate at most.

      $912 per year not including the many other costs involved in otb chess. I would say not worth the cost for anyone more than 200 otb points away from NM and who aren't going to get every cent worth out of this course to improve.

    Only $2.5 per day. Or $912 per year. LOL. Most people don't have $1,000 per year just for chess courses. Players still have to cover tournament fess, travel cost, personalized coaching, and other learning and resources. This course makes no sense for anyone below 2k otb rating and even so only people with throw away money should consider such an expensive course. Even so, many 2k otb players can probably improve on their own if they put in the right effort.

    • @journeytograndmaster
      @journeytograndmaster  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I would guess you never had a chess coach. Otherwise, you would know that it's a fantastic price you can never get normally. Just compare it with a normal $50 per hour coach.
      I have never seen such an amazing offer before

      @@journeytograndmaster . My books are far cheaper and very enjoyable. Again, for anyone not already within 200 points of NM and very serious about getting a title this course makes no sense.

    Hello, the website you recommend would be even better if it could offer Chinese teaching and services! They can look for Chinese-speaking GM or IM around the world to join their team, produce Chinese teaching content, and provide Chinese teaching services!

    • @MrSupernova111
      @MrSupernova111 9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It would be great if Chinese people learned English to sign up for an English based course. Imagine that! Maybe I'll go to China and demand they speak to me in English.

    • @XIAOBAIZHANG-ym8pn
      @XIAOBAIZHANG-ym8pn 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@MrSupernova111 There are English classes in China, and almost every Chinese is learning English, but the people who learn chess in China are mainly children aged 5-10, and many children have to give up learning chess by the age of 10, because they have to learn more and more onerous cultural courses. So, can you imagine that the English level of children before the age of ten can understand the British chess curriculum? Because the chess course taught in English is first an English class, and then it is a chess class. It is too difficult for children to understand this. I believe that most of the ten-year-olds in the United Kingdom and the United States do not understand your lessons! You just want to promote chess, you should learn Chinese like those missionaries who went to China hundreds of years ago, or find Chinese people to cooperate with them on religious propagation. If you want to make money, you should consider my suggestion even more!
