Good luck. I failed so many times with my saltwater tank that I had to get fish that were tolerant to Big fluctuations with salinity.

@@OSSOYT Its definitely not mandatory, it just makes things a lot easier. I have a 25 gallon full of sps and mainly acropora without a ATO. My frag tank also doesn't have a ATO either

Did you not cycle?!?!?!?! Huge mistake!!!!!! I kept saltwater for 6 years... ALWAYS cycle a new tank!!! Even with the turbo start you still need to give it at least a week to make sure you dont have a crash!!
One time I cycled a tank for 6 months because I didn't have enough money to buy the fish I wanted lol
They used turbo start to instantly cycle the tank somehow
Saltwater fish are super expensive. I started out with some of the cheaper ones and worked my way up.
@@domingogonzalez1941 even with the turbo start you can have a crash. And with the amount they spent of fish I would not have risked it!!!!!

The only issue here is that the sand sifting star will probably sterilize your sand bed by eating everything and then starve. Otherwise looks great!

What is different now from 40 years ago when I set up my first salt water tank? We had to add the damsel fish to cycle the tank and wait months to add anything else.
Nothings really changed besides lighting and bottled bacteria, still good practice to wait a while before adding any fish in
I love the fish but you should have toke the regular and the black one it would be cool
