Hey dude, there another TH-cam guy who bought a RHO and got a JBL tune and the RHO GOT about a 140-150 horse power and ran a 4.2 0-60. I’m not a fan of the hurricane motors but that is amazing 😮
Dude you’re so spot on with the driving Comparison. I just went from two TRX’s to a Raptor R and I’m kinda regretting the switch. Well.. I’ll say this, if I could go back and decide again I’d keep my TRX. But in terms of the suspension the Raptor definitely floats over bumps and feels floaty. The TRX is firmer but still soaks up bumps and feels more stable. The Raptor R suspension and driving gear seems to shift around underneath the body a lot. Idk what the problem is but the rear axle definitely moves side to side under acceleration
Seeing these two side by side the Raptor looks noticeably flatter on the sides, RHO’s wide body is much more pronounced. Raptor is essentially just fender flares
There's a trend. The latest vehicle slightly out does the previous particularly when it comes to speed and horse power. This is how we benefit from the competition. My guess is the New TRX will be faster than the Raptor R. Plus they do have their unique features. I would be happy with either. What it will come down to is price/cost. Who will give the better deal is today's market. Ford is awesome for even coming up with this class of vehicle. Plus the wide-body of these vehicles look bad ass.
I feel bad for you man, I ordered 10/17 and the truck was delivered Monday! Still have to wait for it to be shipped to me but there is just no rhyme or reason to rams bs. Hope you get yours soon
@@jf5553damn is it really taking as long as people say. I love the truck but I’m a little hesitant due to the price that we all know is overpriced. I saw one in person finally and it was beautiful and just makes you want to drive it. Hope your trucks come in soon
@@cshecks : You mentioned Ferrari & Lambo. If you bought either of them wouldn't you want them to sound great like they usually do or would you want them to sound like a 15 yr. old Civic with a fart can muffler?
For 1500 series trucks, RAM, by a large margin, have the best interiors for the price class. If you have a Longhorn Limited like I have, the interior is better than a Mercedes S Class and other high end vehicles. THEY ARE JUST BETTER, HANDS DOWN in terms of luxury and function.
@@jrk1990I have a level 2 TRX and my wife’s cousins all have German luxury cars including Mercedes S class. They literally all said the most luxurious was my truck hands down.
It’s the most luxurious pickup truck, but it’s still not even close to an S-Class. The dynamic seats in the S-Class inflate the opposite side bolster during turns and gradually deflate to compensate for the movement. Unless you opt for the tungsten trim, the leather quality doesn’t match the Nappa.
Im thinking of changing to a Ram i have a raptor right now and there is a rattle sound at cold start took it to the dealership and they recommended that i need a new engine crazy.
When it comes to a performance truck, i think the Ram is great...especially with an inline 6. But i think the Raptor has a slight edge off road as stock. Id pick either over any other brand.
I found one from Ford Performance, but the numbers look insanely weak. Peak power = 466 HP @ 5,500 rpm +26 HP @ 3,250 rpm Peak torque = 554 lb-ft @ 3,250 rpm +54 lb-ft @ 2,500 rpm
@@BuckBreaker Wow, that is weak considering they're supposed to have 450 hp and 510 torque from the factory. And price for that slight bump in power is crazy expensive! Thanks!
@@cantdrivesloCrank HP and Wheel HP or two different things. You have to account for drivetrain loss and overall weight of the vehicle. 450HP may be the projected horse power, but that is representing crank HP, not the actual power the truck is making. If that tune is indeed making 466HP to the wheels then that is a big power bump.
I have not looked back in your videos but just wondering if you have done like a TRX vs RHO And maybe like the stock raptor vs the 37 series and the raptor r just to see which one is top dog per mfg.
I wouldn’t buy any vehicle that comes with no dip stick to check your oil. And would never try out a new motor with the price tag these days with a 10 ft pole.

Your amount of clickbait is insane. On the graphic you made it seem like a raptor R. I’ve watched for years but I’m tired of the same old reviews. Like you’ve reviewed a raptor countless times dude☠️
Suggestion... Raise that camera angle while you do the test drives.. Waay too low.. Looking at the steering the whole video does not give a good representation of the driving experience.. my 2c.
The Hurricane 3.0 has experienced overheating issues that have resulted in blown head gaskets & warped heads/blocks in other $STLA models (Jeep Wagoneer). I assume they have fixed these issues before stuffing the 3.0 in the RHO. I too prefer the RHO to the Raptor but I'm staying away from the Hurricane for now. Who knows, we may see the TRX back in play!
indeed but it goes beyond just the looks, the damn internals of the RHO are much more robust and capable of dealing with stress, not to mention having to change shocks on the Raptor after 2 or 3 years, hell no, that's no cost of ownership I want.
Great video, both trucks are great in their way and to each their own. I prefer the RHO, but both great trucks. Happy holidays

Great video Ben, you always come thru with the comparisons!!
I’m team Ram but I must say I love that red marker on the steering wheel and the vents of the raptor ❤❤❤❤❤ that looks so freaking cool!!
Ram trx is my favorite truck
My favorite as well, just too impractical

Like comparing Lambo and Ferrrari. Both awesome. Splitting hairs (which we do appreciate!!) at best.
Except both the Raptor & RHO sound like a couple of souped up Civics (i.e. sound like garbage compared to the Raptor R & TRX).

Stupid comment but the sound of the turn signal on all Rams drives me nuts. It sounds like a 1995 Camry. Great comparison, as always, Ben.
Styling, interior, and power go to the RHO
Are you able to do some of these reviews at dusk or night? it would be cool to see the outside lighting differences

It’s supposed to be a truck.
You have a luxury SUV with the cab chopped off. Coil springs with No payload. Fancy purse interior. It’s embarrassing.

Ben, how many times did you call the RHO a TRX? Quite a few…
Drinking game.
My only problem is the RHO steering wheel alignment is off the whole drive and is anxiety central…couldn’t do that on a brand new $80k+ truck.
When it comes to a performance truck, i think the Ram is great...especially with an inline 6. But i think the Raptor has a slight edge off road as stock. Id pick either over any other brand.
I'm surprised Ford hasn't come out with a software tuner to increase its horsepower and torque to compete with the RHO, similar to the Ranger Raptor
