  • Disassembling the M3 Max MacBook Pro takes almost 1 1/2 hours.
    It will require little attention to details and little experience in building computers. But overall medium to difficult level for this project.
    Why would you disassemble it?
    Pros:
    #1 To enhance the thermals by changing the TIM
    #2 Fix overheating problem
    #3 Achieve the full potential of your Laptop!
    Cons:
    #1 why would you want to open up your M3 MacBook pro?
    It will risk and perhaps void the warranty!
    #2 You might ended up frying your laptop!
    #3 Waste your $$$
    Do this at your own risk!⚠️⚠️⚠️

    Love the video! One request/suggestion if you could lock the camera focus so the autofocus doesn't jump around it would make it much easier to see.

    Hi Cool Video, have a couple of questions? if you kind enough to give some inputs, what was the temp baseline prior to installing the Kryosheet? and do you think that buying 2 to really cover in full the m3 max processor will have any add Value? from the pipes to MacBook lid, what expessure are the terminal pads? I have same m3 max model, and well you know if get's loud a noise in any situation. I'm exploring a 3d graphite thermal pad from UPsrien that have 40w/mk from pipes to lid, still taken courage to install the carbonaut or kryosheet. also purchased SValt cooler as stand to see if eases the noise. any inputs on above is welcome.

      Hi @cassiobloisi9756, thank you for your comment. As for the baseline temps, before all of the mods I did , my very first run of Cinebench, for the multicore I got 1,359 and GPU got 10,401 points. I compared that to most TH-cam videos that reviewed the 14" M3 Max same spec 14/30 core. Now for the Idle before doing all the MODs im getting CPU performance cores getting 43-47C just browsing the web.
      Im going to make another video, Kryosheet vs Carbonaut.
      The Svalt stand cooler does really make a big difference acting as an external heatsink. Which one do you have?
      For the size of Kryosheet, you just need 25X25X0.2mm perfect size. You will have to align the pads on the heatsink check this video out. th-cam.com/video/dlSx8JMefX4/w-d-xo.html
      Thank you and have a great day! Let me know if you are going to do the Mod and have any other questions. Goodluck!

    Hi. Which size of Kryosheet did you buy and did you have to cut it to fit the M3 processor?
    Btw, big thanks for the step by step guide. Will definitely follow this and replace my thermal paste too.

      @teshynevermore5821 You're welcome! The perfect size for the M3 Chip is 25X25X0.2mm . But wait, based on my observation, I think the Carbonaut is far more better than the Kryosheet. Why? Just wait till I do a comparison video. Yes its true that the Kryosheet offers a higher W/mk, but again if you can hold till next week, I will do a comparison and tests. Thank you so much.

    Do the fans on these idle at all times or do they turn off when they are not needed?

    • @teshynevermore5821
      @teshynevermore5821 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Only when they are not needed.
      Apple uses this pretty aggressively, meaning they sometimes only turn on when the chip reaches 90 degrees and then they start blasting

      The fans are usually off when doing light tasks. They turn on when temps go high. Thank you.

    what is the mm thickness size of the green thermal pads?

    • @OutrunDYC
      @OutrunDYC  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! The thickness of the thermal pad in this video is 2mm, but i suggest you use 1.5mm, it is the perfect thickness between the heatsink and bottom case.

    Did this mod. My temps are in general about 10 degrees higher than yours :/
    Mostly around 47-55 C

      @TechnoNates Did you also use thermal pad in between the M3Max and bottom case?

    • @TechnoNates
      @TechnoNates 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@OutrunDYC oh I actually did not. Forgot about that.
      I fear faster wear of the battery because the heat distributes over the whole bottom of the case.

      @OutrunDYC  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TechnoNates Im just sharing you, my battery is still in great new condition! 12 cycles and still 100% Normal. I'd say, if you did the Kryosheet, just do it all the way! help those heat escape out of the M3 Chip! My battery temps is hovers around 32C -34C FYI.
