      Hey, just to clarify: the Custodia Vigilia ability to give command tokens after someone uses Imperial has been confirmed by Dane to only mean when someone gets a point for controlling Mecatol, not when they use Imperial to score an objective.
      So you probably won't be getting 2 command tokens from it every round. Unless the table is just letting the person on Mecatol get runaway points, you'll probably only get those extras once (maybe twice) per game.
      Might be good to clarify in the description or something.

      Hey Ethan. Love the videos. Have you thought about making faction videos about how and when to attack that faction in order to slow it down or even stop it from starting? Like, “If you were playing against SARR you should…”. Just another angle thought.

    • @CardboardCrashCourse
      @CardboardCrashCourse  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Joetamjoalka I have, actually. I’ve considered making one video where it’s “one tip against every faction” and kind of a speed run through them. How does that sound?

    For those playing the Keleres faction, it seems fairly common that the Mentak hero is used to unlock the Commander (because drawing into ACs that have a component action is not particularly reliable, and the unlock criteria specifically cites AC usage rather than general component actions). I think ASN is currently underrated- as it essentially provides a production cycle at one of your space docks that doesn't get locked down with a CC, or two space docks if used with the Warfare secondary ability! 🖖

    Ideas for fighting the Keleres: Try to keep them from taking Mecatol Rex and try to boost your influence so you can attack them if you need to. Also keep in mind which home system/hero they have and adjust your strategy accordingly.

    I won the game with Keleres (Mentak) two weeks ago. Started with a Gravity Drive and Sarween Tools thanks to a Ghost and Naalu Player.
    Both faction tech's you really use as faction ability's really, are amazing. My Mate's could not get me from Mecatol Rex, i kept producing in my home system and Mecatol with agency Supply network, double Sarween Trigger! I had Three Mech's on MECHatol Rex the whole time.

    Thanks for making this one. Nice shout out to LuckyPlayer. I recognized the printing (with the player board being split into 4 pieces) before I even looked in the description.

    Isn't the Commander explicitely anti-stalling? Stalling means I'd rather do nothing and wait. The Commander let's me do another action, when I'd rather take none. Usually burning my strategy tokens.

    • @CardboardCrashCourse
      @CardboardCrashCourse  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes, however with conjunction with the Mentak hero, it allows for perfect control between stalling and speeding through your turns. The fact that the effect is MAY and not MUST is very powerful.

      seems like a pretty good utility ability for tempo when chosen to use it.

    Does ignoring the law in play for a resource mean just for you or for everyone?

    It really feels as if someone plays this against Winnu, Winnu will be even more pressured to race for the middle.

    a question about the Mech.
    To pay the Influence you can pay Tradegoods or??

    • @highapproval3314
      @highapproval3314 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s my understanding that trade goods can be spent instead of influence with the exception of voting

    really nice to see you are back again. i was wondering if you could do a video on Sardak'Nor. i have seen them played in 4 player 14 point games multiple times where they are very strong, but i was wondering how you would play them in a 6player 10 pint game where you take a lot longer to get off the ground

      Really nice to be back as well! Good to see ya. Sounds good, I’ll make that up next after the Argent Flight video that’s in the works :)

    What's your thoughts about Unit Upgrades? Which one to get?
    Great video!!! Keep up the superb work.

    • @CardboardCrashCourse
      @CardboardCrashCourse  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unit upgrades! Transit diodes is devastating with their mech to lock down a specific planet. Also, this is probably my favorite (and maybe only) faction to really use integrated economy with.

    • @heikodoubleu4774
      @heikodoubleu4774 ปีที่แล้ว

      Transit diodes sound great. Which ship would you upgrade? Dreads or maybe Carriers?

    • @CardboardCrashCourse
      @CardboardCrashCourse  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would say Dreadnaughts. You don’t have to always double down on their gimmicks, sometimes expanding and evening out the field can be better. So improving their space combat potential is my preference

      It’s a print and play faction on the Fantasy Flight website. Look for Codex III near “player resources”

    what happens if all three of the Mentak, the Xxcha and The Argent Flight are in play? can you not play keleres?

    • @CardboardCrashCourse
      @CardboardCrashCourse  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's technically correct, yes, by rules as written. However, many people simply do anyway and have an extra set of cards printed out. Depends how serious you are about it, really.

  • @metascrub285
    @metascrub285 ปีที่แล้ว

    So there is no way to obtain a official faction sheet and errata on cards? It's all proxy?

    • @CardboardCrashCourse
      @CardboardCrashCourse  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, no way at the moment. But the quality I have is nearly equal to FFG’s quality

    I have to say im a bit disappointed with this one. We didn't discuss tech trees at all, i find that very important for playing a faction.

    • @Panamaniac3D
      @Panamaniac3D 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I think it really depends on your starting tech. In the game I played with them I started with Sling Relay and Scanlink Drone Network. Sling relay was great with their commander. I first got my two faction techs and then went 100% blue. Once you have your commander and hero and you have Fleet Logistics, you can do so much in one turn. I had a couple turns where I did 5-6 actions. Having Fleet Logistics was super helpful with their double production, sling relay, and all the extra actions. I was able to take Mecatol Rex, lose it same round, and then take it back thanks to being able to bounce back with tons of production and fleets that pop out of nowhere and then are immediately deployed same turn.
