Stephanie Tanner was always my favorite character on the show. Mainly because I love the way she delivered all of her jokes since the first season of full house. When I watched Fuller House, she still nailed the roll! I still rerun Fuller House in my house. Great show!
Yes! Stephanie was always my favorite! In the reboot, I was surprised how great Candace was. I didn’t think much of her in the original. But, she is super charming as an adult. Love her podcast, too.
Even as a kid Jodie had great comedic chops. She was the most believable kid, who did not always seem like she was reading lines.

I thought Fuller House was a love letter to the og cast and the fans. It had its cheesy moments, but it also had heartfelt and funny stories and scenes, and I thought the acting over all was strong. It was meta, too, and that along with the actors’ friendships just brought out something special.
Wouldn't be Full House without the cheese.
Idk I didn’t like it personally but we all like different stuff. It didn’t have the same feel and that sucked but it’s hard to get that 90s feel back.

@@P.90.603 Saved by the Bell: The College Years is a horrible example because that was just a few years after the original one began, not decades later. The cast was still fairly young, just slightly older. Original Full House would surely work in modern times. Was so 1980s-90s about that show that couldn't work now? It was your typical show about three dudes raising some girls. A concept like that was not sediment in its time only that it could only work then. It can work in any era really. It also helps the show really had nothing super taboo about it that couldn't work today anyway so that remark makes no sense. Now, trying to do Full House now with the old cast and expecting it to be the same way of course wouldn't work because you have to accommodate the actors and characters being older and thus, new dynamics.
@@P.90.603 It does. A few years really shouldn't boggle things down so significantly as if this was decades later. We saw them in a more adult setting. Who cares? That's life. We age and grow to new environments. At least they were all still together. Hell, even the latest reboot they did in 2020 was good and I wish that continued.
@@P.90.603 People just need to grow and adapt. We do that in life amongst ourselves so why not be like that for TV shows and characters? Many other shows did what SBTB did and did fine, so it's tick for tack really. Some shows just get lucky. Full House worked more than just Michelle. I don't believe she was the "IT" girl because then Fuller house wouldn't have lasted as long without them. But that reboot failed for a number of reasons, trying to be the original all over again with a rehashed format and having such limited episodes, being too meta, and just being a parody of itself. If it was made with the same sort of maturity and heart the original show had and been on an actual TV network, it would have succeeded. Fuller House was basically just a fun show made for nostalgic purposes only, nothing really meaningful. It goes beyond, way beyond just Michelle not being there.
@@P.90.603 The show followed a certain formula FOR A TIME. These are aging characters that of course would grow up and expand beyond childhood and high school. The audience would also be growing up along with the show and characters, so wouldn't they cling to something natural and fitting for their OWN progression?

Loved Fuller House, but sad that there was no Michelle (Mary-Kate and Ashley).
Really, her whole character was being a cute little kid. So bring there as an adult would’ve been weird because we wouldn’t have recognized her as the Michelle we knew.
@@stevencramsie9172 That was true for all of them. They were all cute little kids. Also, during the Fuller House show, none of them was the same as when they were on Full House. They had all changed. It would have been nice to see how Michelle would have changed too; as far as character development.
They should have recast her and they could have just hired one person and not necessarily twins since Michelle was not a twin.

I heard John was putting it out for years. But then he got everyone together. So glad they did this! Even without Michelle there, it didn't matter. The three girls did such a great job! It was successful...it got 5 seasons! Many reboots get 1 season or a few and done. Look at Punky Brewster....Saved By The Bell...Dallas...

Similar thing with : Girl meets world - they also pitched to ABC , ABC family / then Disney put it on Disney channel.
( But then Michael Jacobs - he wanted more similar to Boy meets world , but Disney had a different approach of the series - then show had bad ratings from the big Fans of Boy Meets World . )
It didn’t have bad ratings. It didn’t have as good of ratings as the og from the old fans but it didn’t get cancelled because of ratings. It had the ratings from newer fans to keep going. It got cancelled because Disney ends their shows after 3-4 seasons. Any show that lasted longer was on air before the no more than 4 seasons policy.

@@ThePreppingArtists well that was true they did but that wasn’t why it was cancelled. The writers were fine with giving the network what they wanted in the end. It really was the 3-4 season policy. Jacobs confirmed that on x(Twitter) too.

I didn't get a chance to watch all of Fuller House but the episode I liked was the one where the older lady brought a "cat" for a bath and it was actually a skunk... but Stephanie and DJs kids had to take tomatoe bath... and then also got caught claiming the kids as her own to the one guy.😅

The people complaining about the actors or show in general must not have watched the original. That was the charm of the shows back in the 80’s and 90’s. I miss the days of corny comedy with bubblegum stories. I wished it lasted longer. Pretty much these kind of shows are gone.
Saw a few episodes of full house back in the day. I never got into it. I liked Growing pains
In all fairness, GMW did it two years earlier. Fuller House was not the first.

Is there anyone in the cast except John Stamos who isn't hated by some portion of the audience? And for all kinds of different reasons. I tend to agree with Jodie's politics, but a lot of people STRONGLY don't. And likewise for Candice, but in the other direction. Dave still makes me think of Alanis Morrisette, but in fairness, that was a VERY long time ago and hasn't apoeared to be a recurring issue for him, at least as far as I know. The twins are freakin' billionaires who invented the entire Tween market. Bob Sagat has the dirties mouth you've ever seen, which I have no problem with, but some people do. And of course Lori went to prison for fraud.

I do like this new show shows them as adults. You see them drinking, talking getting it on, hot outfits they where women now not little girls. I thought the humor was perfectly balanced between cheese humor and PG content. I was very skeptical of Michelle being replaced with Kimmy. She was so critical to the show. I didn't know how to feel about a full time Kimmy. But Andrea did it. She pulled it off and I'm sorry I doubted her

Her fall into deep Christianity kind of eliminated any sense of personality or being interesting. She essentially became a safe, regurgitation of her Hallmark Channel movies

Full House was corny and cringy as all hell but it brought to light one very true to life issue. What women like. Bob Sagets character played a loving, selfless father who did everything himself and was a great and genuine guy and he barely ever had a female interested in him. The cringe cheeseball bum living for free in his basement was always swimming in women. That's the closest a 90s sitcom ever got to what real life is.

Haven't watched yet, but Candice and Jodie are so opposite politically it seems like they might have trouble working together. From what I understand, Candice is a lot mellower about her views than her brother, but they are fairly similar to his.

my fav moment of Fuller was the blooper where Jodie (as Stephanie) said she'd had a girlfriend while living abroad, and DJ freaked out, because you know that killed Candace's homophobic ass to hear.
Candace isn’t homophobic. Just because you think some behavior is wrong doesn’t mean you can’t love that person. Like my brother who smokes weed. I think it’s a bad decision and hope he stops but I love him and we have a close relationship regardless.

Fuller House was a waste. Too meta and all they did was recycle what made the original show work. Let's just change the gender and put one of the daughters in the same position the dad was in when he was left a widow with three girls, as she's a widow with three sons. Considering it was airing on Netflix, that already limited the episodes and of course, was not gonna last as long as the original show and didn't. Four seasons and only 75 episodes so its name. BORING and pitiful. Why even bother? They were better off doing a couple reunion movies and leaving it at that. -_-
I liked the original show better, didn't get into Fuller House, I did not like the content of that show.
