I love looking through old photos (pref pre 1950s) and imagining the stories behind them and I incorporate this into my clusters for greetings cards. How incredible that these belonged to a real life Gunther! I see a Gretchen/Gunther “through the years” journal in your future, with the celebration of their 25th anniversary and even the marriage of one of their children. My mind is racing with ideas so I’m sure yours is, as well. It is so much fun to experience your treasure hunting discoveries with you. I graduated Highschool in ‘89 so the 80s hold so many amazing memories.
It's so interesting to see all these beautiful letters to Guntër and realize that few people alive today will have such collections of personal correspondence. All of our correspondence today is digital!

Am i a little strange or just really interested...i Googled Gunter Marx 1938! There were a few. I thought our Gunther's name was Schmidt (sic). Who else was willing there to be a letter from a Gretchen😊 A lovely little haul. Very interesting reading old letters etc. If only i could read German. TFS❤
